Sometimes you make choices in life and sometimes choices make you. People have a choice to be good or bad. In the book Lord of the Flies, a plane full of school boys get stranded on an island. They try to stick together in an attempt to stay alive and get rescued. They begin to split when opposing motives begin to surface causing violence to ensue. People make a choice everyday in the path they choose.I have found there are people who make choices. And Those that choices seem to make them. Some who make good ones, and others that make bad. Even though the cruel people seem to jump out at us most, you can always find those who are good if you keep looking. There is always a balance of good And evil. Jack was also at play in all this not just Ralph. Jack was an arrogant boy, but also tried to be civil and keep everything together, hunt, and, survive in the beginning. But then realized that getting saved might not be an opportunity for them. For example Jack split up his choir and hunted. Also kept the fire going but then left the fire unattended to go catch a pig with all of the group, Jack fought with Ralph because he was the leader and Jack wasn't. Then Ralph was “telling everyone what to do”. He was trying to keep everything together. Jack thought he should have been leader, so Jack left the group and started his own tribe.

My sense of the book Lord of the Flies is as follows, people are who they want to be. Rather it is to be good or bad. It is our self that needs to accept the fact if we are good or bad. We all have choices, what we have to do is make the right ones. In the book they all started off pretty good but then they started to become animals in a way.
