They may go to a child's school and speak about what kind of illness the child has, or some stay at the hospital and help children cope with their new disability. There are also child life specialists who work just with adults who's child is in the hospital. Different jobs that related Some jobs related are a counselors,social workers, and chaplains. Child life specialists help families who are in stressful situations, those situations are ofen terminal diseases, injuries, or treatments. They try to help the families overcome chalenging obstacles. Child life specialists help the families by providing therapeutic play, they also give education to help reduce fear, stress, anxiety, and even pain. To get an advancement you must have at least 4,000 paid hours as a child life care specialist, and you have to remain professional. requirements-for-2019-2022 Child Life Specialists can be found in hospitals and outpatient clinics too. The hours are often 7:30am to 7:30pm. That is depending on if children end up in the ER. Child Life Specialists may have to work weekends and holidays. The only uniform that Child Life Specialists have to follow is dressing professionally.
