In 1859 Charles Darwin published his Theory of Natural Selection amid an explosion controversy. Like the work of Copernicus in the sixteenth Century uncovering the development of the earth, Darwin's thought shook the very foundations of the Establishment and significantly changed humankind's perspective of its place in the universe. For all intents and purposes, all religions incorporate a clarification for life on Earth in their sacred writings. In the UK, and considerably more so in the USA, the creationism discussion mainly involves Christians.
