Chapter One
Wait, Do I Have Time To Take A Shower?
I was born at 8:09 AM on Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts. The day I was born wasn’t particularly interesting, other than the fact that it was three days after my mother’s birthday, which was also three days after my due date. On the morning of June 22, my mother had more than twenty guests over. So for the rest of that day, she exhausted herself as she cleaned the whole house and mopped every floor.
“I was nine months pregnant, with a stomach so big, but I just kept on cleaning the house, even though I was so tired!” she recalls. It was not until midnight that night that she began to feel me kicking uncontrollably inside of her. So, inevitably, she …show more content…

Do I have time to take a shower?” he asked. Unfortunately, he could not. To this day, my family still laughs about his unexpected response. It was only a few hours later that I was brought into this world, alert, with my eyes open wider than a doll’s. I was a tall and skinny baby, born with a lot of hair.
The date of my birthday is something that I really like. University of Cardiff psychologist Cliff Arnall discovered that June 23rd is the happiest day of the year. He states that it is largely due to the long days, warm weather, fond childhood memories, and the promising start of a sunny and fulfilling summer. I get to enjoy the whole day to myself! Also, it is almost exactly six months after Christmas, so my presents are spread out evenly throughout the year. This way, I get a reload of gifts every six …show more content…

They are all different and unique in their own way. First comes my father, Elias Souaidan Sr. He is 100% Lebanese, and has tan skin, green eyes, and brown-black hair. My father is a car sales manager at Nissan 24 and Jeep 24, on Belmont street in Brockton. If you can’t find him there, you’ll find him at the gas station he owns, or at car auctions in Pennsylvania or Connecticut. He is a very big car fanatic, but he also likes to watch sports games, (while screaming at the TV as if they can hear him) travel, and take my phone away.
My mother, Carole Souaidan, comes next. She is 75% Lebanese and 25% Italian. (This makes me 87.5 % Lebanese and 12.5% Italian) She also has tan skin, but has hazel eyes, and blonde-brown hair. My mother doesn’t work at the moment, and hasn’t been since I was born, she is known as a “stay-at-home mom”. She used to be a graphic designer, and did the cartoons for many commercials all over Europe and Lebanon. However, when I was born, she decided to stop working, to take care of me. My mother loves to go to the gym, go to breakfast and lunch with her friends, travel all over the world, watch Arabic soap operas, play Candy Crush and go to the
