Certainty and doubt seemingly contradict each other. One allows for someone to believe they can accomplish anything while the other trumps on this belief. However, there is a relationship; they fuel each other. Doubting an idea or ambition fuels one to believe in its certainty that it will be done (revisit later). 2016 seems so long ago, but this year is when doubting the candidates allowed one to become our president. Donald Trump entered the race with joke written across his back because he was the unlikely candidate. He was outspoken, a businessman, and did everything that a politician would not do (revisit). The media and citizens believed it was a matter of time before he left the race or eliminated through the primaries. Contrary to this opinion, Trump went on to succeed in the primaries and claimed victory in November of 2016. The doubt the media showered him allowed this to happen. People also doubted Hillary Clinton, but she made it to the election. Although she did not win, the doubt allowed her to get this far.
