Image driving down the highway and looking out your car window to see thousands of little crosses stuck in the ground with each cross representing the life of an aborted child. The photo taken of the “Cemetery of the Innocent” gives the statistics of the number of babies aborted in different years. The cemetery was put on President Clinton's route in Cape Girardeau, Missouri after a democratic convention. President Clinton who was Pro-choice during his presidency from 1993-2001 avoided the crosses by taking a different route to and from the convention(Davis, Sean). The purpose of the photo was to inform the public on what Mr. Clinton avoided seeing and to show what abortion is doing. The little crosses were meant to show the grave of an aborted child. At the focus point there is a white sign with words painted in orange and black saying “Abortion stops a beating heart 4,400 Times a Day” with a heart beat and a heart under the words. Under the immense sign there is a smaller white sign that also has orange lettering that says “CEMETERY OF THE INNOCENT”. Behind the signs and in front of the forest covered horizon, there is an area filled with little white crosses. The little white crosses are lined up right behind and next to each other, and look like they could go on forever. Abortion is a sensitive topic and should be informed to humans at an age old enough to comprehend what abortion is. Abortion is an everyday topic brought up in many places the image is fulfilling some of the information that the general public is maybe missing. In the year 2008 there were 4,400 abortions performed per day(Pomerleau, Michael). The image represents the unborn lives taken due to abortion.
