The way we live our life and are living has a direct impact on our mental and physical health. This poor lifestyle is causing premature aging. Aging is a normal process and it cannot be stopped. In today’s busy lifestyle, human being is so busy that he does not get time to sleep properly. And that’s why so many diseases encircle him.
Excess alcohol intake- Alcohol increases blood flow in small blood vessels at skin surface, causing the visible effect of aging on the skin.
Smoking- Smoking cigarettes are one of the fashions. If you smoke or spend time with smokers, its ill effect has direct impact on your health. Cigarette smoke harms the health and its effect can be seen clearly on our skin. Also the cigarette smoke increases skin wrinkles and dryness.
Strain- Strain is the result of cosmopolitan busy lifestyle. Tension stresses the facial muscles and ridges of concern are apparent on your face.
Drinking less water- To prevent the problem of aging, more water should be consumed. Water not only prevents the problem of aging, but also makes the skin healthy and glowing. But nowadays, people drink more cold drinks than water. As a result, dry and dull skin.
By improving these habits and changing lifestyle we can slow the aging process upto some extent. Photo credit: No_Water via Visual hunt / CC BY-NC photo credit:
Consuming Inflammatory Foods – In today’s hectic lifestyle, no one has the time to take healthy diet. Unhealthy diet is one of the major factors of premature aging. Not these unhealthy food items cause severe health problems but also accelerate wrinkles and dark spots. Try taking healthier diet to reverse the visible signs
Aging affects every individual and is inevitable, despite our valiant attempts to prevent it. The aging process beings the moment of conception however some can argue it begins at birth. The process of aging is heavily impacted by health, genetics and environmental factors. As people age we have to become accustom to the changes associated with life. The question becomes what changes happen and how? Although we cannot predict what will happen to us we can work to prevent specific things from happening by living healthier lives.
The human body is a complex system that often malfunctions. Many people believe that numerous diseases are natural reflection of the body aging and cannot be avoided. The goal of my paper is to elaborate this perception and explain that maintain healthy and active lifestyle can result in healthy body.
Some of the many common mistaken views of aging would involve our society seeing aging as something that will be a big problem for us and bring about burden. Other issues to consider are that aging is for everyone, not just the elderly. In many people’s minds, you say “aging” and the first thing that comes to mind is an elderly lady or man, retired, grey hair, and no longer full of life. However, children, young adults, and older adults are aging every day. As mentioned in Aging Concepts and Controversies page 91, “…half a million people over age 60 are studying on college campuses.” It also mentions how military officials are retiring in between 40 and 50, and grandmothers are appearing as early as their 30’s. For myself, I noticed that this discrimination was
Many do not like to talk about their age and their aging process, because to some, chronological aging has much more meaning than just the number of years that they have lived (Hooyman et al., 2015). Age really is just a number. There are centenarians and super-centenarians, like Flossie Dickey, who are still going strong at and living their daily lives with minimal restrictions (Hooyman et al., 2015), and people who struggle at the age of 80, it is all about aging successfully (Hooyman et al., 2015). What it means to age in society is a constantly changing concept, and now that the baby-boomers are starting to reach their older adult stages, maximum life spans are continuing to rise (Hooyman et al., 2015), and we see more centenarians and super-centenarians and skipped generation households (Hooyman et al.,
Aging occurs in every species. Over time a change occurs on a cellular level in a person’s body, which causes degenerative effects on the brain, muscles, organs, bones, hormones, and DNA. In 1991, the book Evolutionary Biology of Aging, offered the following definition of aging: a persistent decline in the age-specific fitness components of an organism due to internal physiological deterioration.1 Aging affects the body physically and mentally. Many people dread getting older due to the numerous changes the body goes through. The geriatric population experiences many pains and is inflicted with various diseases. There are a few who are lucky enough to not get diagnosed with a life altering disease, such as Alzheimer’s, type II diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration, or some form of cancer. Studies have shown that genetics play a vital role in the aging process.
Aging, as described in the book “Evolutionary Biology of Aging” is a: “Persistent decline in the age-specific fitness components of an organism due to internal physiological deterioration” (Rose, 1991). The fact of the matter is that as human beings, and ultimately, living things, our bodies deteriorate as we advance in age and it becomes more and more noticeable to others as we grow older. What Rose was saying is that our bodies experience significant physical changes in our later years especially in the skeletal and muscular system.
Smoking can negatively affect your system in just a few days, and over time, smokers rarely think about the greater dangers, such as lung cancer, skin cancer, and birth defects. Although I don't smoke, I am still aware of these dangers and try to keep myself away from situations where I am surrounded by smoke. The majority of people don't know that breathing in second-hand smoke is actually worse than smoking a cigarette. People who are constantly surrounded by smokers in places such as bars and restaurants are affected by the smoke they breathe in. While people assume that inhaling smoke straight from the cigarette is worse than secondhand smoke, they forget that the smoker has a filter that holds back some of the toxins that people around them can easily breathe in.
Actually, there are many ways in which you can feel younger and look more beautiful. You have to take care of yourself, both from the inside and the outside. Most men and women don't realize that there are many simple anti ageing treatments that they can use in order to avoid or slow down aging .
Do you find yourself older in your reflection at the mirror or the look in your photos? Or, have you ever thought that someone you know gets older in the photos, particularly in the chronological ones that demonstrate their life before and after a highly demanding job that they are doing? For an example, this even could be a politician or a company director. Have you ever wondered why these people appear much older in the later photo although the difference doesn’t correlate with calendar? The stress of the job or its’ life style is believed to contribute in the premature aging appearance. If you are the one out in those photos, you might have thought of running away from the reasons in the background that contributes your aged appearance, especially stress. But, hey… Stress is everywhere! Even when you feel relaxed, your body continues to be under stress, and this time the biological one! The baseline biological stress is the one that contributes to aging the most and rapid.
Cigarettes not only contain harmful substances, but they also can cause erectile damage. dysfunction in men and illnesses such as cancer and lung disease (http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=3009767). Cigarettes are full of substances that are harmful not only to the smoker, but also to those around him or her. Smoking not only harms the smoker, but also those around them. For years it had been thought that smoking only affected smokers and non-smokers were not at risk at all, but after years of research it.
The look that everyone strives for is youthful and attractive. In the movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Benjamin was born with wrinkles, looking like an eighty-year-old man. Many people did not find him attractive but he could do nothing about it. He knew he was growing up in reverse. As he grew “young”, his wrinkles started to disappear, he could walk better, his gray hair was turning into a more brownish color. Everything you would think about aging, he was going through it in reverse. What was happening to him was the complete opposite of how people usually age. Once people start to hit their middle aged years, signs of aging will visually start to appear such as a few gray hairs, wrinkles. Many people will never forget the day they see their first gray hair or wrinkle (Cavanaugh & Blanchard-Fields, 2015). My sister just turned thirty a few months ago and for most people that is a huge milestone in their lives. Prior to her birthday, she noticed one strand of gray hair, she showed me and I could not see it but she definitely did. It is things like this that make aging the worst thing. Getting gray hair is natural, but today’s society says different. Gray hair is bad, wrinkles are not okay. You do not get Botox? You want to have wrinkles than? There is so much pressure on everyone to stay young and continue to have that youthful look when they
Human beings age and they have since the beginning of time, but it remains an unsolved mystery. This enigma has remained in the dark until the recent innovations technologies have shed some light on this elusive topic; cells are the key to figuring out why humans age. Aging seems to be a relatively simple process, but the more it is studied, it is evident that it is rather complex. There are a myriad of factors that contribute to aging, but none of them can single handedly answer the question of why humans age. This age long question is at the forefront of medical research. As a result, discoveries are frequently made, which contribute to the ever growing pool of knowledge. Perhaps in time, by researching this topic, the human lifespan will lengthen and the diseases that often plague the elderly can be prevented or subdued to a greater extent. Furthermore, human aging is proven to be closely linked with illnesses such as cancer, which is why so many world class scientists are pursuing this topic. Interestingly enough, there is no universal theory that is widely accepted by the scientific community; however, there are many theories that credibly explain the science behind aging. Aging is a subject that should be studied because it directly benefits many lives, and has tangible results.

Sleep is a very important factor in the human function. Our body and brain is able to reset itself and rejuvenate while we sleep. When we do not get the required amount of sleep, we start to feel lethargic and foggy minded, because our mind and body wasn’t able to replenish itself. Sleep is imperative that an insignificant rest deficiency or lack of sleep can affect our ability to remember things; decisions and can affect our temperament. Chronic sleep deficiency can get the body to feel agitated and it could lead to serious health problems such as, heart problems, stress, acne, and obesity.
