Is child labor really an issue or is just some rumor made up by the media. Not all work by children is considered child labor. Letting children do tasks that require some effort can be looked as healthy for the child. Child labor is considered mentally, physically harmful, and morally dangerous. Children, mostly in third world countries, are taken advantage of due to the fact that most families are poor and in need of money. The children are forced to work in unhealthy environments such as sweatshops and mines to pay off the debt.
Although child labor is a cheap way for companies to make a lot of money, it impacts the child in a negative way by taking away quality childhood, causing multiple health problems, and causing lifetime mental traumas …show more content…

This usually happens due to the poor working environment they are forced to work in such as sweatshops. Clearly these people who employ child labor are not considering the environment these children have to work in.. Working in such places could leave the child with a permanent health issue. Children who are forced to do physically demanding tasks may also experience physical trauma. It is obvious that children are not physically developed as adults. They all have different stages of growth and having them do heavy work loads can interfere with their health and affect their future. These kids are being forced to work so hard that they have no time to think about their health.
