Receiving a call about an abandoned car, Cindy and George Anthony started feeling that something is wrong. They rushed to pick it up and as Cindy opens the car’s door, a foul smell instantly envelops the thin air. Skeptical because of this, they look for their daughter, Casey to ask what happened. Casey finally broke down and confirms that her daughter, Caylee has been missing for a month now. Devastated, Cindy called 911 to report this tragic event. Casey blamed an apparent nanny of kidnapping Caylee. Turned out, the said nanny does not exist. One day, remains of a body was reported found in a wooded area near the Anthony’s house. After months and months of searching for the lost child, it is revealed that the dead body unfortunately belongs …show more content…
Grandmother, Cindy Anthony called 911 after finding out from Casey that she had not seen Caylee for 31 days; last seen on June 16, 2008. Casey said that she dropped Caylee off at a babysitter’s house, who she identified as Zenaida “Zanny” Fernandez-Gonzalez, and when she return to pick her up, both were nowhere to be found. Cindy also mentioned that when her husband, George Anthony picked up Casey’s car that was towed, it smelled like there has been a dead body in the car. It was later discovered that Casey lied about the nanny and working at Universal Studios; in fact, the identified nanny claimed that she has never met any member of the Anthony family, and Casey has been terminated from Universal Studios years before. She was arrested the next day for false statements to law enforcement, child neglect, and obstruction of a criminal investigation, and later released on August 21, 2008. Hence, she was arrested again with new charges, including petty theft and forged check. On September 5, 2008, she was released again on bail and given electronic tracking device. On September 25, 2008, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, the apparent nanny identified by Casey, filed a defamation lawsuit against her. On September 29, 2008, returned to jail for the third time. On December 11, 2008, skeletal remains are found in a wooded area near the Anthony home by a utility worker. On December 19,
I chose to explain Casey Anthony’s behavior using the eight stage theory of identity and psychosocial development by Erik Erikson. If Casey claim against her father and brother is true about them sexually molesting her throughout her childhood, then that would have played a big role in her life and also the fact that she and her mother had a terrible relationship with a lot fighting and abuse toward one another didn’t help her case. If we take a look at Erik’s fourth stage industry vs. inferiority, it states that during this stage school aged children are very social stage of development and if they experience unresolved feelings of inadequacy and inferiority among our peers, we can have serious problems in terms of competence and self-esteem.
According to news reports, Lambert and Lindsey were involved in bitter divorce battle and subsequent alimony and child support battle which had dragged on for years in the courts in Florida. The parties had three (3) children, ages 16, 18 and 20, who made public appeals and pleaded with the community for information leading to the return of their mother after Kimberly Lindsey went missing from her West Palm Beach Home after a brutal altercation with Dr. Lambert on October 27, 2013. Ms. Lindsey was reported missing after she failed to show up at her job as a Nurse for the West Palm Beach School District. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office reported that a body was found October 31, 2014 in a sugar cane field in south Florida. After DNA testing, it was reported that the DNA was a match to Kimberley Lindsey (WPBF.com). According to Police this murder was “brutal and premeditated”; the body had been decapitated...
The chronological series of events preceding the disappearance of Caylee Anthony, remains unclear as well as what exactly
To begin, I will provide a summary of what happened prior-to and throughout the duration of the trial. Caylee Marie Anthony was a two-year-old American girl who lived in Orlando, Florida with her mother, Casey Marie Anthony, and her maternal grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony. On July 15, 2008, she was reported missing to 9-1-1 by Cindy, who said she h...
Detective Yuri Melich gave Casey the opportunity to change her story - again and again, but she never changed it. She stubbornly persisted, as if repetition could magically transform reality (Fanning 172). Casey claimed to have left Caylee with Zenaida Gonzalez, her babysitter, at the bottom of the stairs at Unit 210, Sawgrass Apartments (Fanning 162). Jose Baez argued in court that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family's backyard pool on June 16, 2008 (Chan). Crime scene investigator Steven Hansen testified about the crime scene photos (Website 2). Dr. Werner Spitz, a forensic expert, testified for the defense of Casey (Website 2). Casey was lastly on trial at the Orange County Courthouse on July 5, 2011, In Orlando Florida (Chan). The twists and turns of the ensuing six week trial had captivated the United States (Chan). Many people both locally and nationally followed the long-lasting case (Website 2), and that made Casey “famous” but she was wide spread hated. I am glad that I am not the only one that hates her for doing what she did to
After April and Roger search desperately for Cheryl, they look for several weeks, and have no idea where she has gone. When they arrive at the bridge a group of people say they saw a women jumped off and commit suicide about five minutes before they arrived.
On June 16, 2008 Caylee Anthony was last seen leaving her grandparents house with her mother, Casey. In exactly one month, Cindy Anthony, her grandmother, calls the police to report that Caylee has been missing. Casey did call the police, however, to tell them that the babysitter had kidnapped Caylee. July 16, 2008, Casey was arrested for child neglect and false information. It would be hard to indicate that a person was guilty if there was no body found to prove that. On December 11, 2008 the remains of a little girl were found and sure enough it was the body parts of Caylee Anthony. The evidence and surroundings of her death pointed at her mother, however, at the end of the case she was proved to be not guilty for the murder of her child.
This paper will shed light on the abductions of three young women by Ariel Castro. Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus were held captive for over a decade in Ariel Castro’s home located in Cleveland, Ohio. These women were all raped and beaten during their years of captivity by a man that they each had known or come in contact with prior to being abducted. After their rescue Ariel Castro faced charges for the rape and kidnapping of these women, he later pled guilty to these charges. After pledging guilty to the charges Ariel Castro hung himself one night in his jail cell. Each one of these girls maintained a since of hope that
Strange things began to happen the next couple days. First, Joey was in the living room of Grandma’s house making a jig saw puzzle. He heard the sound of a horses hooves walking slowly on the street then the sound stopped in front of the house and heard someone put something in Grandma’s mail box. Joey heard the horse walk away and a little while later Grandma’s mailbox blew up. Next, Ms. Wilcox’s outhouse was destroyed by a cherry bomb. Then, a dead mouse was found floating in the bottle of milk that was delivered to the front
In the twenty first century statistics have proven that stranger abductions are feared most by parents but rarely happen, and the number one abduction that occurs is, parental abduction. “Over 800,000 children are reported missing in the United States each year. Child abduction is a tragedy that devastates parents and touches all of us,” writes Jenny Wanderscheid in her online article. The United States has feared abductions for over decades, but many people misjudge the stereotypical “abduction”.
...ased the brakes until coming to a complete stop. Juan and Glenn, knowing where they were going, went to the door leaving the dad alone to get the money. Upon entering the cabin, Juan asked him for the money. He replied quickly that first he needs to see his daughter. The children came out. There was a sudden movement by Glenn which attracted the attention on him long enough for Marianne’s father to pull out the pistol. He pistol whipped Juan and held the gun towards Rita. Rita suddenly started screaming in Spanish asking where Buck was. They told her he was dead and ordered her to put her hands above her head. He handed the gun to Glenn motioning him to stay here and watch the two as he went for the cops and took the others.

...cy’s life on that fateful night. The man told me something along the lines of “Had we not stopped, Stacy would have lain on the ground for about 5 minutes, woken up, walked back home to Justin, and been beaten even more” Then he told me something that took me a moment to comprehend. “Stacy is pregnant and had been basically drinking herself and the baby to death. Although there is a bright side, Stacy sobered up and confessed to Justin’s abuse and now has a recovery plan and wants to start up a new life.”
