Introduction One of the most rampant experience every person has gone through is being bullied or bullies other person. According to Jose A. Casas, et al., “bullying can be described as an essentially psychosocial problem involving the intentional, repetitive harming of another person and the creation of a power imbalance between the victim and the aggressor, with negative consequences for both parties (J. A. Casas, et al., 2013). As time evolved, bullying comes in many phases and one of which is through the use of the upgraded technology and that is what is known as cyberbullying. They may be in different ways but has one goal and that is to bully the person. Before we could fully understand the concept of cyberbullying, it’s important to know first a brief background. Here in the Philippines, it is showed that 3% of the household owns a computer in the year 1997, 7% in 2007, 10% in 2008, 11% in 2009 and 12% in 2010 with the proportion of 414,000 in 1997 and became 2.1 million in the year 2010 (I. D. Labucay, 2011). Since on that duration of time, internet access has also made known. The range on internet access is 1% to 3% between 1998 to 2007, 4% in 2008 and 2009 and 6% in 2010. The corresponding proportion is 230,000 in 1998 and 1.3 million in 2010 (I. D. Labucay, 2011). Base on this statistics that is mentioned, this is how many people who are using the computer and have access with the internet up to the year 2010. Cyberbullying became much known now and almost all people do this on a social networking sites. But have you ever thought of the outcome or effect of cyberbullying to the person being bullied? Probably, people haven’t thought of this because they see cyberbullying now as a “normal” thing to do. However, the sad truth is that many bully victims have faced a lot of traumas in their life. The bully-victim may be aggressive, passive and provocative simultaneously. They may learn maladaptive behaviors of using bullying strategies to cope with their victim status. (Douglas Vanderbilt and Marilyn Augustyn, 2010).On the other hand, the bully itself feels a different way on his/her part. According to Vanderbilt, D. and Augustyn, M., “bullies often have high social status, which gives them license to use their power on those weaker” (2010). Moreover, the bullying behavior results from use of alcohol and physical abuse that they have experienced in their life. On the other hand, victims have long-term effects like psychosis, depression, poor self-esteem, and abusive relationships (Vanderbilt, D.& Augustyn, M., 2010).
