Many Canadians believe that the most important part of Canada's constitution is the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that was officially adopted by the Canadian federal government in 1982. Within the Charter, there are specific sections that describe Canadian citizens Fundamental freedoms, Mobility rights and Legal rights. Today, Canadians enjoy many freedoms that we sometimes take for granted. Under the Charter, in the Fundamental Freedoms section, Canadians have the right to express their own opinions, the freedom to choose their own religion, the freedom to organize peaceful meetings and the freedom to associate with any person
