CBCT has been a boon in the field of Endodontics. Numerous studies have reported its advantages in diagnosis of periapical lesions. Estrela et al proposed a CBCT-based periapical index, termed as CBCT-PAI to measure and monitor periapical lesion size pre and post-endodontic treatment. CBCT enables in the differential diagnosis of cyst from granulomas by measuring the density from the contrasted images of the periapical lesion. Lofthag- Hansen et al found that CBCT detected 62% more periapical lesions on individual roots if compared with periapical X-ray examinations. Vertical root fractures which are also known as VRF can be detected easily with the help of CBCT. Fractures in Bucco-lingual or mesio-distal directions can be detected. Patel et al in their review of literature found CBCT to be efficacious in endodontic surgery planning and identification of root canals not seen on 2-D images. The Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS-2) is a revision of the Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale (CMAS) created by Cecil Reynolds and Bert Richmond in 1985 (Reynolds & Richmond, 2008). The RCMAS-2 includes an updated standardization sample, improved psychometrics, and broadened content (Reynolds & Richmond, 2008). Although these revisions occurred, the brevity, elementary reading level, and content-based item clusters were retained, offering an updated and effective tool for understanding and treating anxiety in school-aged children (Reynolds & Richmond, 2008).

1.The dropping of the Atomic bombs on Japan was an unjustified, inhumane war crime. Firstly, these bombing attacks on Japan were radically motivated by American resentment towards "the savage Japanese". Secondly, the main intentions of these bombings was to scare communist Russia, rather than to defeat Japan. Additionally, there were many other alternatives to using nuclear weaponry; for instance Russia was planning an invasion for the following week. Also, the use of Atomic bomb on innocent civilian cities was inhumane, and illegal according to the law stated in the League of Nations. The bomb was intended only for last resort defence purposes, using it in attack is simply inhumane.

When I found out I qualified to be a candidate for the NJHS, I knew I had to take this chance. This group is made up of people who depict leadership, character, citizenship, academic success, and service and I would love to join. These characteristics wouldn't just be valuable for a candidate to have, but for everyone to have to exceed in life. If I were to be in the National Junior Honor Society, it would give me an opportunity to ameliorate my future and motivate me to do better.
From 1754-1763, Britain fought the French and Indian war. Although Britain had won the war, they still had a lot of war debts to pay off. Britain turned to the colonies to pay off their debts by taxing them. The taxes angered the colonists because they believed it violated their rights. Benjamin Franklin had initially proposed the Albany plan of Union to unite the colonies, however this law was rejected by all of the colonial governments. It wasn't until after all of the British laws and taxes that the colonies would unite and write the Declaration of Independence.

Beginning of the 15th and 16th centuries, Europeans began to explore in the Atlantic Coast of Africa. They were mainly lured into the excessive trade in gold, spices and other goods without knowing about slaves in Africa. Nonetheless, Europeans had no success of taking over these African states to achieve all of these goods but later they did take over various regions in other areas. Africans seems to be willing to sell as many as 11 million people to the Atlantic slave trade to the Europeans. Thus, this makes them the first people to have slaves not the Europeans that forced them into this trade. Furthermore, at the start the Africans seems to have full control of the slave trade, but the Europeans came in and slowly dominated the trade without the Africans knowing. Later on, the trade was overturned and everything went back orderly.
Research My first research experience took place from the Fall 2012 – Summer 2013 in a neurobiology laboratory (Dr. Daniel Plas) focused on Parkinson’s Disease. In this project an undergrad student and I were tasked with optimizing a cellular medium for neural growth of the model organism Lymnaea stagnalis. This was comprised of following established protocols and altering certain variables within the formulas (differing concentrations of ions, pH, et al.) to observe growth pattern differences in vitro.
The Common Core State Standards has been adopted by many states in the United States already. This issue is gaining both positive and negative opinions within the education world and society. Some want to know why the standards were created and what the meaning behind these standards is. What is the reasoning for implementing these standards, and why is there so much controversy that follows. Why do these four words cause such controversy? The root canal is a procedure in which and endodontist or dentist will perform to remove an infection from the pulp of the tooth canal. There are many indications to show that the patient will need this work completed such as pain, tenderness and sensitivity to warm and cold tempetures. Once complete the patient will be a little sore but the initial pain will be gone.
