Success in context of Bruce and Scott is when they could dance following their hearts despite of all the challenges. Both of them were the main characters in Cuban Fury and Strictly Ballroom movies respectively. They got many supports as well as opposition from people around them on their way to achieve their dreams. The audience may think, why need to hear from others? Just ignore them and keep moving on with their own dreams. This may be true. However, listening to others actually help to achieve success as it can be as a support, giving more opinions and build up good values.

The opponent may say that people’s thinking may be limited because of keep depending on others’ ideas. But actually, it will help to widen people thinking as if a person listens to others, he can review on a subject from different kinds of thoughts and way of thinking. For instance, in the situation when Bruce agreed to join Bejan going to the club. He felt it was okay to wear his formal office attire to go there, but it was not okay for Bejan. Consequently, Bejan chose a silk shirt, cotton vest, linen trousers and synthetic socks for Bruce to wear. As a result, Bruce appeared to be more prominent than usual (Cuban Fury). It builds respect in person. For instance, the situation when Barry Fife wanted to meet Scott at the State Championship. Les told Scott about the meeting and brought him to the kitchen. Barry warned him to follow his coach and seniors’ instructions or else, he would not get higher marks in Pan Pacific Grand Prix competition. Barry also questioned him that what will happen to the veteran dancers if all the new popular dancers started to dance using their own steps. Scott already knew that Barry wanted to stop him from dancing his new steps in future competition. After he decided to dance salsa again, he went to meet his old coach, Ron. Ron allowed him to join a salsa class in his studio, El Corazon. Bruce surprised after he found out that there is only a class for beginners and the coach was not Ron. He felt that he did not belong there and voice out his dissatisfaction to Ron.
