Tim Tebow “You never know how the tough times you are going through today will inspire someone else tomorrow.” (Tebow, shaken). In his book, Tim Tebow talks about the struggles he's been though and how God has helped him through it all. He lives his life always honoring God and his decisions portray being a Christian. Tim Tebow is a great role model because he's athletic, he's a good leader and mentor and most important he loves God. Tim Tebow was called a “miracle baby” because his parents were told he had to be aborted for his mom to live. Through that time his family prayed to God for a miracle. God protected Tim and on August 14, 1987 he was born. He was raised in a Christian home in the Philippines, where his parents told him “God has a special plan for your life” (Tebow). When Tim was three years old his family moved back to the United States. Tim homeschooled up until high school, but played football for Nease High School in Ponte Vendra. He has showed me that God is faithful even through hardships. He has gone through a lot of tough things in his life, but he remained in Christ and Christ guided him through it. Tim Tebow probably gets made fun of for being a Christian. He has been cheered for and he has been booed for. People are waiting for him to trip up and make a mistake. He finds his identity in Christ, not in sports, fame or what other people think. “What God knows about us is more important than what others think.” (Tebow, shaken) I also learned that if you work hard you can accomplish anything. Tim Tebow frequently says “hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard”. When he's not doing so well in baseball, he tries his best and that's all that matters.
