How different is people perspective? “Boo Radley” is a character in the book “To Kill A Mockingbird.” Boo Radley , also known as, Arthur Radley is a man that locks himself in his house and doesn’t like light. Dill, Jem, and Scout were curious about Boo Radley and heard rumor of him. Boo Radley is a character who Dill, Jem, and Scout’s perspective change though the literary elements of characterization and point of view. First, Boo Radley’s character is developed through characterization. “ Boo was about six-and-a-half feet tall, judging from his tracks; he dined on raw squirrels and any cats he could catch, that’s why his hands were bloodstained---if you ate an animal raw, you could never wash the blood off. There was a long jagged scar that ran across his face; what teeth he had were yellow and rotten; his eyes popped, and he drooled most of the time” (14) In other words, there are rumors about Boo that are horrifying. No kids, will touch Boo’s fence and anything that goes is his lawn is consider lost!!! Dill, Jem and Scout have internal conflict because Boo’s attention and appearance, say other wise. Their story is told by Scout’s, first person point of view. “He gave us two soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good - luck pennies, and our lives. We never put back into the tree what we took out of it: we had given him not-thing, and it made me sad” (321). Scout found out the through Arthur Radley, Arthur is the opposite of the rumor she heard and thought. At first they thought that Boo is horrifying, but throughout the book Boo reveals that he is frindle and kind. Boo has given them many thing including their life.
