“Mockingbirds don't do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens, don't nest in corncribs, they don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. Thats why its a sin to kill a mockingbird.” To kill a mockingbird is wrote by Harper Lee. Harper Lee was born in April 28, 1926 and died in February 19, 2016. To kill a mockingbird was published in 1960, and in 1961 it won Pulitzer Prize and has become a classic of modern American literature. There are over 1 million copies of to kill a mockingbird that sold a year. Boo Radley and Tom Robinson are like the mockingbird in the story. First, Arthur (Boo) Radley are like the mockingbird in the book to kill a mockingbird. For example, Arthur Radley has never done anything bad to anybody, but people are making bad rumors about him in Maycomb. In chapter 1 miss stephanie is telling Scout, Jem, and Dill that Boo stabs his dad with the scissors in the leg. For example, he has to die for something that he never done it. They never have a evidance that profes he rapped Mayella Ewell. For example, in chapter 20 when Atticus is given his closing argument. He was telling the jury that Mayella has not commit any crime but she did something that is unspeakable in their society, she tempted a negro. This example proves that Tom did not rapped Mayella Ewell. This case doesn't have to go to trial, but because racism it become a big case. This is because they didn't went to the doctor when the accident happened, and they just blame all of it to Tom because Tom was there with Mayella.
