ETHICS IN FILM INDUSTRY
Ethics is the branch of philosophy that involves systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong conduct.
In practice, ethics seeks to resolve questions of human morality, by defining concepts such as good and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice, justice and crime. Women are paid less than male and bollywood is more male-dominated place. We see that when a male cross an age of 60 he is still entertained but when a female cross the age of 30 he is almost out of the industry. The female-leads . Female writers- 12% (below the level of global average which is 19.7%)
Female producers – 15.2% (below the level of global average which is 22.7%)
The above fact again highlights one of the many factors of what is wrong with the Indian film industry. Still our thinking is that only, as to who watches movies whose director, producer or a writer is a woman. The thinking straight goes as to “ arre ek ladki ne film banai hai, kon jayega”. People still say these words which shows how backward we are. Today only male-dominated movies cross the 100cr.club. Commercialization has killed the essence of Indian cinema. The year 201-2015 had been a remarkable year for the women of Indian cinema as this year was women dominated year. Some of the movies were:

Bollywood films portray unequal power relations between the female and male characters. Male are allotted to have sexual desires and are portrayed to be active lookers, while females on the contrary are represented passively and seen as the objects of the male gaze (Mulvey, 11). Women are not shown to have sexual desires throughout the course of the film because of the ...

In general, ethics is adherence to societal guidelines and order that incorporates most aspects of our lives. Ethical human beings are those who do not intentionally harm other human beings.
People do make films inspired by their content – they even blatantly pick up characters and situations without their permission – a large number of recent Hindi films are being scripted and directed keeping their huge market in mind – but is anyone actually doing anything ‘tangible’ to conserve this form of pop-art? This source of unadulterated entertainment is likely to die a dusty death if it doesn’t get its due share of media space – considering

The word ethics is derived from the Greek word “ethos” which means an ethical person is one who has a character. Ethics is a norm that translates ideals and values into everyday practice. Ethics is not a manual with answers on how to act. It is only a search for the right kind of morality. It is also the standards that define what right conduct is and what is wrong conduct. Ethics is concerned with distinguishing between good and evil in the world, between right and wrong human actions and between virtuous and non-virtuous characteristics of people. Ethics is also a branch of philosophy that involves questions about morality. Thus, ethics is about making choices which signifies how people act in order to make the right choice and predict good
