He is never going to be an easy victim. Bodyguards always surround him. He is never alone. I am a government assassin with a heavy burden. This is my last mission before I finish this term. Sky changes, everything changes. Now I am standing at a dump area near his building in a small street. The street lights are flickering from a power surge. It is freezing cold with a malodorous, filthy and putrid smell. The mud under my feet melted to sticky liquid, viscous like it wants to drag me down to hell. Lots and lots of dark plump flies and mosquitoes fill my leg with tumid pink spots. I’ve stood for 2 days but I still don’t see him. The smells go through my nose up to my brain and damage everything and makes my body go numb. Standing there, I think of the best ways to kill the dangerous terrorist as the rain's drops hit me all over my body. The rain is slapping on my face like a punishment for my culpability. My body is being hit with one thousand needles. Suddenly, the halo of a car’s headlights ran past and scalded me. It imbues into my body with chill and frigid feeling. …show more content…
Nothing happen. My quivering legs change to noodles. Cramp or not? I couldn’t feel anymore. Tremor is spreading to every cell in the body. The window of soul drowned in clear liquid makes my vision blurry like fog is covering it. He is still there! In building! He seems very close and easy. The light only appears in his room. I can see him there but couldn’t step and kill him. It was the will of Heaven. The rain drummed making my surroundings sodden, making the noxious monster in front of my eyes becomes more powerful and more robust. Rain’s drops are heavier like a battle of guns with blood and tears. It pierces my skin like a bag containing lots of million sharp knifes. It is clinging to me, like a tiger’s hunger, after long time it wants to eat its
O’Connor himself wasn’t partially physically intimidating. This fact became abundantly clear once he stepped off his chair and approached me. While not necessarily short in stature, his seat gave him an extra few inches compared to his natural stance.
Today is the day before we go over the top. I’m dreading it, dying or
It was five weeks from Planetcrack on Aegis VII. Inside the Planetside Security Office, Sergeant Abraham Neumann comes into Marla’s office. “Hey Marla, you wanna catch a Vid tonight? Union Plaza got a new download.” Neumann asked her. “Bram, I already told you. I have a lot of paperwork to- Holy Shit, what is that!?” She speaks out as she looked into the monitor. “It’s Jen Barrows Dig Team, I’ll feed it through.” She tells Neumann, he nods and heads out into the main office. “Hey Commander, everyone heads up!” He says to them. Vera then smirked. “You finally hit second base with Marla?” Vera joked, making her boyfriend Seth chuckle a little. “Very funny, look at this!” Neumann points to the monitor. “The hell is that?” The Commander asked.
The voices in my head become a swelling crescendo. I forcefully grab my head in between my hands as the words echo through my skull. Pain pulsates with every word. I squeeze my temples hard with my palms but the pain is unbearable. Clawing at my face, a scream rips through me; sapping every last drop of energy in my body. Like a rag doll, I collapse onto the cold concrete floor as a growing darkness overcomes me.
The cold, winter air burst through my thin blanket as easily as one moves. The ugly fog covers everything as far as the eye can see. It chokes you and blinds you to the point of no return, but worst of all, it removes all hope from your body, almost as if it sucks the very life out. The frozen, hard concrete bites against my head and the cold gnaws away my feet. Life is at an all time low.
With music blasting, voices singing and talking, it was another typical ride to school with my sister. Because of our belated departure, I went fast, too fast. We started down the first road to our destination. This road is about three miles long and filled with little hills. As we broke the top of one of the small, blind hills in the middle of the right lane was a dead deer. Without any thought, purely by instinct I pulled the wheel of the car to the left and back over to the right. No big deal but I was going fast. The car swerved back to the left, to the right, to the left. Each time I could feel the car scratching the earth with its side. My body jolted with the sporadic movements of the car. The car swerved to the right for the last time. With my eyes sealed tight, I could feel my body float off the seat of the car.
As I have recently begun progressing though my life with the intent to re-create and re-develop myself into a strong, individual woman; I can never forget the day where it all clicked and my will to survive triggered me to finally take control of my life. The events of that day take place as follows: As I lay heavily on my bed like a lump; I was completely withdrawn from all worldly matters and stripped of my ability to feel or care. Although my physical body was densely set and sunk under heavy blankets on that rainy April afternoon, but my mind was reliving the experience of the night before.
Cold. Cold like snow without gloves. Cold that makes your eyes feel as if they are being digested. Cold. My steps echoed upon the old crackling wood floor. The pace of the echoing sounds quickened. My hands pushed in the door which gave a tired moan. Doosh, Doosh, Doosh - i landed upon the frictionless concrete. The vastness of the world lay before me. Then, like the geese of the north the door fled into oblivion. With haste i hopped inside the van, the roar of a million horrors sound out into the streets. I was carried away…
thought I’d let you know I’m on the A50 and should be home by 10:30.”
I can see him in the distance, a silhouette hazed into the dull blue of the dying sky. The hushed rumble of the waves expands into my ears, louder and louder, as I walk toward him, closer and closer.
through the doorway, and by now a cold feeling shot up my spine like a
There was a sudden chill in the air, much colder than normal. There was a dark figure behind the trees, as if it was waiting for somebody. And then it raised its head and stared at the house in front of it. It was wearing a hooded cloak, with its face hidden in the darkness. Only two dark red eyes were visible. It lifted its right hand and there was an immediate boom in the air. The thunder had started, and the rain had turned into a blizzard of water. It was there for a few moments, and in the blink of an eye, it was gone.
From cloudy to sunny, I had nothing to complain; except for the fact that the weather is very unpredictable. My phone rang while at the dentist office. Her greeting was a rustling thunder and the purpose of her call struck me like lighting. Soon after it started to pour all around me. The conversation was a despairing reminder of my tragedy and the source of all madness. My internal dam could hold back no more and became over flooded with pure emotion and pain. Wondering eyes caught sight of this storm. Without a hint of shame they looked and as I walked away I could feel their whispering winds brush against my ears and burrow into my
The ground was blanketed with a thick sheet of white snow, and it was so cold your fingers went numb after five seconds in the chilly air. I was at wrestling practice and everything was running as usual, except we were sweating bullets. See, the object of a wrestling practice is to sweat weight off, and that’s difficult to do when it is below zero outside. My coach’s solution was to make it hot: ninety-nine degrees hot! When it’s that hot, you sweat so much it makes a puddle. This puddle of sweat would open the window that let me see our world in a different light or, better yet, no light at all.
On April 29, 2014, I was at my grandmother 's house visiting her for a couple of minutes. When my family and I left her house everything surrounding us was peaceful. As soon as we head back home on yadkin road. The sky that was once a beautiful baby blue is now dark cloudy grey. The sky almost look as if it is midnight but its only the afternoon. The rain is pouring from the sky making the windows of the car fog up making it unable to see from the inside the car. Trees have fallen down in the middle of the street blocking driveways and parts of the street. The head lights from the car shine on a house that 's roof have been crushed by a tree revealing the tree 's roots and a hole in the ground where the tree had been. Power lines are in the middle of the street swinging everywhere as sparks of
