Would you give up friendship for a billion dollar company? Well Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook, did.

Mark Zuckerberg appears to be an ordinary young man in his twenties, but he is the world’s youngest billionaire; with an estimated fortune of $30 billion. Facebook, a prevailed world wide Web site is the reason. Mark established Facebook when he was an undergraduate at Harvard University at the age of 19. This is the story of Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook, how it was devised and what it will become.

Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born May 14, 1984 in White Plains, New York but grew up in Dobbs Ferry, a small town in New York City. Edward Zuckerberg, Mark’s father, is a dentist and his mother, Karen, a psychiatrist. Mark has three sisters; Arielle, Randi, and Donna Zuckerberg. Mark obtained his first computer, an Atari 800 with a programming disk, at age 10. Although Ed taught him the Atari BASIC programing, Mark mostly taught himself. Mark’s parents hired David Newman, a software engineer, to lecture him in computers. Soon, Newman and his parents realized that he was a computer programming genius. Mark’s parents then bought a new computer, a Quantex 486DX that ran Windows 3.1, and started programming his new computer.

Mark attended public schools for elementary, middle, and his first two years of high school. He attended Ardsley High School, where he was supremely talented in science and math. Sadly Ardsley was not in his level of expertise, so Mark was transferred to Phillips Exeter Academy, an expensive private school, located in New Hampshire. There, Mark took math, science, and was captain of the fencing team, a sport in which he excelled. While still in high school he fabricated a program, with Adam D’Angelo, called Syn...

In 2011 Mark’s Facebook and Daniel Ek’s Spotify teamed up so that people could be offered music through their facebook profiles. In may 19, 2012 Mark married Priscilla Chan, who he met during his years attending Harvard. Mark started a new project on August of 2013, called internet.org. Internet.org’s purpose is to make data and internet access affordable for global communication. Mark continues to work on this project similar to that of Bill Gates, whose goal is to make computers available world wide.In March 25 of this year Mark announced that he had recently bought Oculus Rift VR, a virtual reality technology headset for $2 billion.
