A Businessman, who made the world a better place
“ A computer in every home, and Microsoft software on every computer.” ( "Bill Gates." News) This is a comment and later a slogan of Bill Gates and Microsoft. Bill Gates is one of the richest men of the world because of his intellect, still he spend $28 million dollar to charity. Mr. Gates is one of many great Americans, who achieved a lot for our world. Bill was a genius even in his early life and had great accomplishments outside of Microsoft. Also Bill has many different great projects.
Early life
In fact, Gates was special even as a child, and had a wealthy family. He was born as William Henry Gates III , and has two sisters. His mother received him on October 28th 1955 in Seattle, Washington . William Henry Gates II, his dad, was a Seattle attorney . Mary Gates, his mom, was a teacher, and chair women of United Way International.("William Henry Gates III" ). As child Gates’s parents thought he had ADS because he was hyperactive, and could not calm him down. Soon his parents recognized he could not be changed (Boyd 5).
However, Gates received normal education. Bill Gates went to a community elementary school ("William Henry Gates III."). Together with his friend Paul Allen (later co-Microsoft founder) he attended the Lakeside Private School in Seattle (Boyd 18). Even in elementary and middle school Gates was fascinated by computers and typewriters. Soon he had two major goals, making software and money. ( Boyd 23). He began programming computers with the age of 13 (“William Henry Gates III." ). At Lakeside Gates often hung out in C-Cubed, a store that let people borrow computers. ...schools. That is another reason to call Gates a great American (Bellis).
All in all Mr. Gates is one of many great Americans, who achieved a lot for our world. If Gates continues to support school and charity, and Microsoft develops further equipment, the world will be a saver and richer world. Who knows, maybe we will live in space in the next 100 years thanks to Microsoft and their computer technology. If Gates had not founded Microsoft or did not do what he did, the world would still teach with chalk and would have to read books to get information. As Gates once said, when he was asked, what his greatest fear for the future would be "... there'll be some really bad things that'll happen in the next 50 or 100 years, but hopefully none of them on the scale of, say, a million people that you didn't expect to die from a pandemic, or nuclear or bioterrorism ( News) ."
