It seemed as Beyonce and Jay-Z were the most perfect couple to ever be alive. Yet, like the majority of celebrity couples, infidelity is involved. On the contrary, Beyonce is not to blame, it is Jay-Z.
The speculation of infidelity began in 2014 when a video was released by TMZ showing Jay-Z getting attacked in a elevator by his sister-in-law Solange Knowles. However, It wasn’t until Beyonce’s 2016 record “Lemonade” surfaced, where these speculation had started to become popular. Throughout Beyonce’s record, it touches on aspects of cheating. For example, her song “Sorry” it references, “He better call Becky with the good hair.” It was until November 2017 where Jay-Z had admitted to cheating in an interview with the New York Times’s T Magazine.
In the interview, Jay-Z mentions how making records like “Lemonade” and “4:44” were like therapy sessions to Beyonce and him. He also admits how it was painful and uncomfortable to listen to both records about his infidelity. Although, it was uncomfortable to hear, he is still proud of Beyonce’s

He explains he’s slowly working to getting them through therapy and Beyonce’s unconditional support. By trying to gain these emotional tools, it has inspired him to write his song “Song Cry.” Jay-Z concludes how it is hard for men to express their emotion. This song is a way of letting people know he wants to be open and wants to have the emotional tools to help keep his family together. He then begins to state how Beyonce and him love each other and have put a lot to keep their marriage together. In particular, they have put a lot of hard work on therapy he mentions. Jay-Z also shines a light on how people are likely to give up in a relationship, instead of working it out. He hopes by sharing his story he inspires those watching who have given up on their relationship to try to fix
He was introduced to the life of drugs and crime at the age of 16, where he stayed and didn’t look back until, in 1992, he decided to leave the world of drugs and crime. Soon after doing this, he began looking for a record deal as a solo artist. But Shawn just wasn’t getting lucky. It wasn't until a friend, Roc-A-Fella CEO Damon Dash, convinced him to form a record company with him that Jay-Z's career finally got off the ground. Jay-Z released his first single through Roc-A-Fella in 1995, "In My Lifetime." It was a hit in New York, and helped Dash secure a distribution deal for Jay-Z’s first album, “Reasonable Doubt.”
Kendrick Lamar’s critically acclaimed album To Pimp a Butterfly finally achieved the attention it deserved when it won the Grammy for “Album of the Year”. The album reflects on the struggles that both Lamar faces as a black artist and to the struggles of social injustice that all people of color face today. Although the provocative album cover (a group of young black men sitting on top of a dead white judge) depicts a powerful feeling of anger that is prevalent and connects it to an important justice issue, there is no better example of what Lamar’s argument is throughout the album than in the song “Alright.” Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” provides hope to the people fighting for social justice with his personal experiences, examples of racial

Infidelity really isn't anything new. It's as old as civilization itself. The only thing that's changed is that today's world is driven by technology and so it's easier than in the past to get intimate with another person. At the same time, it's also easier to have paranoid/apprehensive
It is widely believed that men and women respond differently to infidelity in the way they think and act (Buss, Larsen, Westen & Semmelroth, 1992; Takahashi et al., 2006; Walum et al., 2013). Past research has found that women tend to report more

Decoded was a glimpse into the rough environment of world known artist Shawn Carter, or better recognized as Jay-Z. In this book, Carter gives a clear analysis of not only his lyrics, but also the meaning of each lyric. He goes into detailed memories to steer the audience in the direction of a better understanding and acceptance to a different perspective than of those that are given via the media. In order to accomplish this, Jay-Z delves into three main topics. Firstly, he hoped to make a valid argument that hip-hop lyrics from any rapper are poetry if you looked behind the lines and examined them enough. While aiming to do that, Jay-Z was also determined to tell the story of his generation and the day to day life experience that he and other
Such as, how Tupac used his song “Changes” to refer to the institutionalized racism in America in regards to law enforcement and so forth. On example from his lyrics states, “Cops give a damn about a negro/ Pull the trigger, kill a nigga, he's a hero.” Another commonly known song that makes ties with Hill’s is Kanye’s song “When It All Falls Down.” Kanye wanted the ties of her lyrics incorporated into his song so much that after his failed attempted to get Lauryn Hills sample cleared he got a replacement singer to perform it on his song alternatively. However, his concept for this song was different as its purpose was more of a self-contemplation of his individualized battle with consumerism. Today society is affected by artists like Lauryn Hill and her lyrics and often quote lyrics like that of hers as references for equality and moral rights in modern society. Today more than ever the incarceration rates are raising extremely. Not to mention, in the past year we have seen some of the biggest out cries for our African American communities with people using the power of social media to come together on a common ground in regards to law enforcement unjustly killing African Americans and other minorities while in the attempt of arresting them. With that being said as Lauryn Hills lyrics state “Ya'll can't handle the truth in a courtroom of lies. Representing security/Holding the word of God

Getting to know the background of a song initially might help you understand and depict more from the song. Russ wrote this song for his very first girlfriend at the age of 18. He was a very neglectful boyfriend who cheated on her and kept trying to push her away. She was in love with him, but because of how he treated her, she can’t trust and love another man. Russ is truly sorry about this stating, “I’m tryna to

We have more or less gender stereotype and create our own set of standards how men and women are supposed to behave. The music video delivers a weird impression that something is wrong with the story because the characters in the video are acting opposite from society’s expectations of gender stereotype. The video portrays a couple’s normal daily life, which may have been seen everywhere, and it’s nothing special except that the perspectives of males and females are opposite from what we would expect. The main cast includes Beyoncé as a wife who is a police officer and Eddie Goines as her supportive husband who works at an office. In the video, the storyline is slightly twisted because Beyoncé
Times have drastically changed and to my generation, it seems like a recurring problem. The type of music that is being played and the environments some of us grew up in are the reason why infidelities are such a huge problem. So, to solve this problem, I wanted to uncover infidelities. What goes through the minds of cheaters of a cheater, what are some of the reasons they cheat, what are the different types of infidelities, and which gender cheats more males or females.First and foremost, before you can discuss how infidelity works, you must first know what the definition of infidelity is. According to Merrium-webster.com, infidelity is “unfaithfulness to a moral obligation or a marital unfaithfulness or any instance of it.” Dictionary.com defines it as “a lack of consistency especially sexual consistency.”
This song is Jay-Z singing about...Jay-Z. In this song he sounds very conceded. He is 'the Ruler', and when he says "I'm back n***a", there are trumpets playing in the background, jsut like you'd imagine them being played for royalty. He talks about how rich he is, and how he doesn't care if he goes to court, he says"What's a couple dollars to me?" and the only thing he cares about is that you respect him. I dunno, it's kinda tough respecting someone with that big an ego. But it's kinda cool, in the beginning the beat goes with his laugh, it reminds me of how we're supposed to get the virbrato on flute, the whole "hahaha" thing.
