For years, many people have been wondering about the mythical section of the Atlantic Ocean known as the Bermuda Triangle. The mystique behind this area lies in the many ships, people, planes, etc. that have disappeared within its borders. Many people are fascinated by the triangle and many of the theories that people have made it out as they thought to why disappearance after disappearance happens. Many speculate that the Bermuda Triangle is not just a mundane place, yet many others believe that it is just like any other area of water in the sea. The Bermuda Triangle is known as the devil's triangle because this place was once called islands of the devils, so “for decades, the Atlantic Ocean’s fabled Bermuda Triangle has captured the human imagination with unexplained disappearances of ships, planes, and people” (What is the Bermuda Triangle? 1) This place is known as “a mythical section of the Atlantic Ocean roughly bounded by Miami, Bermuda and Puerto Rico where dozens of ships and airplanes have disappeared” (Bermuda Triangle 1). These mysterious vanishings go back to 1492 when Christopher Columbus was one of the first who claimed and saw strange sightings of strange dancing lights, flames in the sky, and at one point or another wrote about strange compass readings. This is one of the many places in the world where compasses work a little differently. Additionally the temperature of the Bermuda Triangle during the hottest month of the year is in August with a temperature of 82 F and the coldest month of the year is February at 64 F. According to Livescience The Bermuda Triangle is not the only body of water with dark secrets and seemingly paranormal activity” (Remy Melina 1). There are a “few other nautical locations where vessels’ crews have been known to inexplicably vanish without a trace” (Remy Melina 1). The number of planes, people, ships, etc. that vanish experience disappearance not only in the Bermuda Triangle, but also in other parts of the sea such as The Sargasso sea, The Devil’s sea of Japan, and The michigan Triangle.
