Being a registered nurse requires a great amount of work. According to information from Pennsylvania Career Zone, registered nurses need to know psychology, medicine and dentistry, and therapy; they need to know other things too. Registered Nurses are also referred to as a trauma nurse or a visiting nurse (pg 1). Nursing goes back to 1873 in Boston (Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational Guidance). Nursing goes far back in history. Nursing requires an associates degree and a Ph.D. Becoming a registered nurse is difficult you need to know how to take care of an injured patient and give the correct medicine. Some don’t some work in rundown inner city hospitals ( Encyclopedia of Careers). Community Nurses go to peoples houses and that house might be dirty. Nurses usually work 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, 11pm to 7am. There is no exact uniform for a nurse, but you have to wear scrubs. To be a nurse you have to finish high school, then go to college you also have to get secondary training. Different titles require different training levels the training takes place in college. (pacarrerzone) You have to complete three kinds of education programs. You also have to pass the licensing examination. A nurse average wage in Pennsylvania is 66,010 but most people make about 47,170 to 89,870. (pacarrerzone) The different titles you can get the different amount of money you make. For examples trauma nurses make the most money. Nurses who work for the government make more money than people who work for the community. Moving up in the career later in life is possible because it has the largest outlook. ( Encyclopedia of Careers) They are always needed to care for sick or injured patients.
