Beach balls are round, soft balls that increase physical activity, by encouraging children to move around while playing with it, which increases sensory-motor experiences (Gabbard & Rodrigues, 2008). They also develop gross motor skills and fundamental movement skills because children learn to throw and/or kick the ball (Bredin, 2016). Beach balls are safe toys because they are soft enough, so that children will not get hurt if the ball accidently hits them. This toy is beneficial for girls and boys, it allows more than one individual to use it at a time, and it can be used indoors or outdoors.
