Recommended: Importance of training in sports

Playing basketball professionally is a career that requires intense training, provides opportunities for travel, and can pay a large amount of salary. Basketball players train intensely by spending many hours in the gym working out. Because professional basketball players compete worldwide, this career involves a great deal of travel. In addition, professional basketball players gain millions of dollars annually.
Being a professional basketball player requires intense training. Players have to practice a great deal on the court. Willingly, the players spend hours lifting weights, running sprints, and shooting baskets. Even after hours of practice in the morning, players sometimes return in the evening to practice again. It is difficult for players to see their families. There are no set schedules for professional basketball players, so sometimes they have to work on the weekends and holidays. The college basketball program is drained of talent due to players leaving early. The high school players that go directly into the NBA are hurting the college program because they never contribute to the college program at all. The NBA now has to deal with a higher level of immaturity and disrespect by young players. College basketball players obtain a certain amount of respect and maturity in college. The players suffer by not grasping the concept of learning due to lack of education. Many analysts say that entering the NBA before finishing a four-year program is entering too early. Therefore, according to this logic religion then can be anything that creates a following that people can be tied and bound to, which can include how religion can be seen as something such as power, money, or even fame. Thus it can be argued that under these conditions of what a religion can consist of, it would be safe to say that a major professional sport such as baseball can also have the sufficient requirements or conditions needed for it to be considered as a religion as well.
