Explain the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, including how this relates to the teaching/training cycle.
Teachers in lifelong learning sector mainly take on a role of a lecturer, trainer or assessor but can be given various responsibilities. The main role of any teacher is to ensure that all learners have equal and fair access to learning resources and safe, conducive learning environment. It’s teacher’s responsibility to assess and identify various learning styles, and design the curriculum to meet the individual learners’ needs. They must be aware of guidelines and methodologies, be responsible for providing sufficient and constructive feedback, take on a role of an Internal or External Verifier, and actively manage learning resources to ensure the quality of learning experience to all learners.
In context of a learning cycle, an ICT and Employability Skills Tutor’s main responsibilities are to assess and identify learners’ needs and plan the sessions accordingly, taking into consideration their age, previous experience, learning styles and any barriers they may have (e.g. language barrier, special educational needs, disabilities). The delivery itself must be relevant and teaching resources need to be tailored to the individual needs of a learner; these would include a fair amount of demonstration and practical activities, e.g. how to operate a mouse and a keyboard, online jobsearch or application form analysis. Tutor will then be responsible to assess learners’ work. In respect of ICT or Employability Skills the assessment is formative and most of the time informal, but it’s designed to give tutor an idea how well learners’ understood the subject and what help, if any, needs to be offered to impro...

... Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and the learners have right to see the information an organisation holds about them. Keeping full and accurate records is essential for several reasons I have touched upon briefly answering question 6. Moreover, record keeping must be compliant with Office of Standard in Education’s (Ofsted) guidelines and provide information required by institutes of higher education and employers. These may be records of achievement, dates and grades, assessment tracking sheet illustrating learner’s progression throughout the course, diagnostic or initial assessment results, observation checklists and learning styles results. Also, keeping records like action plans, receipts of assignments, tutorial reviews, unit declarations and witness testimonies is necessary in case a learner appeals against an assessment decision.
According to Muller, Prowse, and Soper (2012) the procedures to remove and replace a power supply are;
The audience for writing project one: summary and response will be my classmates and my instructor, Avon Waters. I am writing this for English 111 – an online Ivy Tech college course. This is the first writing project of four for semester one. The assignment is to select a core reading resource from the group listed and perform a summary and response style paper, using proper APA formatting and introducing the concept of a situation analysis. The core reading piece I have selected is one that personally interested me, as it deals heavily with history and facts versus opinions and controversy. This will be in APA format, as with every other paper written in this course. My goal with this paper is to offer additional insight into the piece I
The Board received a complaint on 04/02/2014 regarding patient Gloria Kinder from Dena Andrews who has a POA for health care matters on the patient. The complaint was regarding Dr. Negron taking over care of the patient after her primary care doctor retired. The complainant states that the doctor would not refill her potassium, did not do follow up labs, and would not care for the patient.
There a three main stages to assessment the start of a course when Initial and diagnostic assessments should take place these methods are used to identify the learners suitability learning levels and learning needs for their chosen course. The second stage would be the middle of the course where I would want to use continuous assessment methods such as peer assessment and self assessment too ensure that the learners are making the correct progress, all of these methods have formative assessment roles that allow the learner to improve whilst learning. Finally there would be a final assessment this could be a written exam end of module test or performi...
Evaluate development and meet performance goals by using A.P.I.E: A.P.I.E: Assessment, Plan, Intervention, and Evaluation, (Schwarz, 2017) in coordination with the developmental assessments provided by program workers.
Planning to meet learner outcomes on the Employability Skills Programme is a challenge that requires last minute adjustments. For example, when teaching on the Traineeship programme, from the initial assessment and diagnostic I know which of the learners will require additional support, if I need to make changes to resources to meet the needs of a learner with Dyslexia or consider extension activities. The first time I meet the learners on the Employability Skills Programme is day 1 of the 5-day programme. It is only then that I am able to ascertain the levels of ability of the learners, although I have tried to encourage one learning centre to ask the learners to undertake BKSK and VARK on the Friday prior to the start of the
I believe that the role of any good educator is to guide the learner into connecting what they are learning in the classroom to their world. Works Cited Blaschke, Lisa Marie. This contribute to the assessment because this information can be use to improve and enhance future performance. 6.5 Record the outcomes of assessments to meet the internal and external requirements In my teaching practices, I always record assessments outcomes as it helps me to follow my students progression and at the same time I can monitor learners' achievement. All information concerning their assessments are recorded, I use them to compare each assessments to the other. I can see which assessment was successful and which assessment has not been done properly.
However, having highlighted ‘education’ as the push in learning, it is important to understand what is central to the changing conception of Lifelong Learning. Lifelong Learning is:
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.

When thinking of a philosophy of teaching, four major issues need to be considered. Those issues are one’s views on education, the role of the teacher, teaching and learning, and on the children. This is something that someone entering the teaching profession needs to give serious thought to and realize the importance that this will hold in the future. The following essay will express my philosophy of teaching.
“Teaching is often a difficult process, but the end result is very rewarding. Watching a child develop confidence and seeing a student progress in their studies is a very exciting process. Teaching young children is especially great because it is setting a foundation for life-long learning.”(Chronicle guidance publications). What is teaching? A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children), or students (adults) using lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and computers to present academic, social, and motor skills. Teachers can also teach foreign languages, art, kids with special needs, and P.E. Teaching has changed a lot compared to the traditional methods of just lectures and textbooks. Students now are encouraged to actively learn through groups or individual projects. They have learning games, debates, and experiments to help them through the learning process. Being a teacher would be a great career for anyone who wants to further themselves, to help people, and to have great benefits (chronicle guidance publications).
The role and responsibilities of a teacher is very complex. Teachers are responsible for making sure their learners acquire the knowledge they need, but also achieve their qualification by the end of the course in a safe learning environment, so they have the skills and experience they need to start their careers. To achieve that goal a teacher must be creative, professional, flexible and knowledgeable enough to deal with daily challenges and find different ways to help their learners needs. Establishing a safe and stimulating environment for learners, creating mutual respect and set goals that stretch and challenge learners of all backgrounds and abilities.
