Not only have I witnessed racism on social media, I have also experienced it in person with a white female who used to be my friend. She told me that she thinks all Hispanics and Asians are disgusting. She would never be friends nor have a relationship with them. She is low Racism is a big issue in America, but it is not the only issue in society. Stereotype is also an issue in society. Yomaecka Tordecilla, student at California State University of Los Angeles, lives in Highland Park and faced Asian stereotype at school. Students made fun of her appearance and called her “small eyes and short Asian girl.” It angers me that many students made fun of Yomaecka. The media is to blame for the Asian stereotype. My family and I live in a planned unit development house. Next to our planned unit development house is a youth service facility that helps trouble young men. In 2016 summer, my brother and I let out our dog walk around for a while. A young white man who was sitting on an exercise machine saw us and yelled “Are you going to eat your dog?” My brother and I ignored him. As I went into the house, I was angry at myself for not educating him and telling him that Asian people are not the only ones who eat dog meat. There are other countries who eats dog meat: Nigeria, Switzerland, India, Arctic and Antarctic. Low-openness individuals are not open to new experience. They dislike change. In the essay "Country Music, Openness to Experience, and the Psychology of Culture Ward," Will Wilkinson says that low-openness individuals are less likely to visit other countries and try new foods. There are many ways to solve encourage low-openness individuals to experience new things. One idea of encouraging high-openness is for southern states to hold more cultural food festivals at an affordable cost. Music performances to be shown to low-openness individuals while they eat and enjoy their food. Cultural food festivals with music performances will lead low-openness individuals to have fun and interact with the high openness
