“Around the Island of Oahu” is a traveling project for the Modern Hawaiian History in the class of 2021 at Moanalua High School. Students in the class are given opportunities to travel around the island of Oahu to visit the historic, cultural, and tourist landmarks of Oahu, students get to engage in the nature of the island. With the requirements of taking pictures at the sites, conducting an interview with a knowledgeable employee, and researching the many intriguing facts about each places, gaining a better sense of what magnificent place the island of Oahu is. In this report, the following places and the facts containing in the areas are shown: Honolulu Chinatown (Cultural Plaza), Iolani Palace, Kamehameha Statue (Judiciary building), Aloha Tower Marketplace, and Dole Plantation.

A swimming world record was once set my Duke Kahanamoku at Pier 7. The place in the Honolulu Harbor is a tourist location for people, offering a variety of exciting experiences to enjoy. There is the Aloha Tower Marketplace, which is part of the Hawaii Pacific University, “featuring student residences, meeting spaces, community events areas and a variety of restaurants,” along with an ocean-view lunch, lively music played at night, and a variety of unique shops to be explored near the area. To the left of the entrance to the marketplace is the docking port for The Star of Honolulu, a cruise ship that has turned into an experience on ship for sight-seeing the Ocean, and a sumptuous dinner feast accompanied by a cultural show.
