Arguments Against Mandatory Service

First off I want to say that I don't agree that going into the service should be required by anyone. The reason i believe that is beacuse, like passage 2 states "Mandatory services would hurt the growing trend of volunteering in america today". Additonally, I just don't believe that anybody should be forced to go into the service if that's not what they want to do. Also, When you force people to go into the service you have to undersatnd you are ripping them away from thier families and thier loved ones witch is not right.Those are the main reasons I disagree with mandatory service. Personally, I think everyone should have a say so in everything that they do and should not be forced to go fight for a nation that could care less if they died in the service or not. Answer to that is you can't. You never know wheather some people can even handle going in the service mentally so how could you just randomly make some one do it? There are many reasons i disagree mandatory service though and i know how it feels from experience to be pressuerd into doing things you dont want to, And I know that is not a good feeling to have. This is why I think its not good to pressure people into anything. Also, You have to keep in mind that people have families to and things they love dearly. With that bieng said why would you even want to take a person from thier everyday life and put them in a position to die? You never know how people's lives operate say for example , a single father has to go into the services what is he supposed to tell his kids? Who are they supposed to depend on ? Lastly, What are you supposed to tell them if they lose thier father to the service? Put those things into perspective before forcing people to put thier life on the
