Dealing with Drones Done: Have you ever wondered what drones are used for? They can be used for a variety of different things, including delivering pizza or endangering fire and rescue missions. For a bit of background information, drones are UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) that are remote controlled and carry no humans as passengers. However, the government seems to be torn on whether or not to regulate them. Regulations would mean the operator would have to be above 16 years of age. Drones would have to be kept below 400 feet, be flown only during the day, and be in the operator’s line of sight. These regulations are under review constantly. But the question still remains: should drones be regulated? My answer; they should. Done: If a drone crashed, would you want it to hit you on the head? Not many people would say yes to this. Although, if you are near a drone, this can become a hazardous possibility. A quote from the article Are private drones privacy pirates states, “At the Grand Canyon recently, a drone crashed, stunning visitors who were there to watch the sunset.” Those people were lucky that the drone didn’t injure anyone. Instead, all they had to deal with was the shock of the incident, which wasn’t necessary when you’re just trying to watch a sunset in peace. …show more content…

The drone crashed, nearly hitting a huge flock of birds that were minding their own business. This brings me to my second reason: drones should be regulated because they endanger wildlife. Animals are not dumb, however they may not be aware of when a drone will crash, which is something they shouldn’t have to worry about anyway. “In April, volunteers at Zion National Park in Utah watched a drone buzz over a herd of bighorn sheep.
