Lucy suggested that Peter, Susan, Edmund, and herself go shrimping.
Being stranded on an island makes you hungry,so Lucy and the others are trying to find some food. Lucy comes up with the idea of shrimping. Peter says that it wouldn’t work because the have no net. I think you don’t need a net to catch shrimp, just pick it up in the shallow pools.
Peter makes one good point, and another is, they probably don’t want to eat the shrimp raw. It’s ok to eat it raw, but the main hassle is to rinse every single shrimp you catch. I think that the children wouldn’t have tolerated the huge fuss.
Lucy has a good food collecting idea, but I know for a fact shrimp are fast. How else can they defend themselves? They have zero

This is an example of Logos since the author uses scientific facts to convey the message he wants to communicate in an objective way. Wallace also uses logos as a persuasive device by presenting facts on the science of the lobster’s neurological system and its ability to feel pain. The Maine Lobster Promotion Council states “The nervous system of a lobster is very simple, and is in fact most similar to the nervous system of a grasshopper. It is decentralized with no brain. There is no cerebral cortex, which in humans is the area of the brain that gives the experience of pain”. The Dwarf Seahorse mostly eats non insect arthropods and is always a carnivore. To catch food they hook onto seagrass and are well camouflaged and catch drifting tiny animals like brine shrimp, copepods, and freshly hatched shrimp larvae. They prey is sucked near through the snout. Food progress in the seahorse is very fast causing it to absorb little nutrients. Because of this the sea horse can consume up to 3,000 brine shrimp a day (Animal Diversity Web).
The green sea turtles have been taken out of the Atlantic Ocean for several years, so now they are an endangered species. Today, the green sea turtles population is growing and in the Florida Refuge they counted up to over 12,000 turtle nests. It is shocking to see how much the refuges care about the green sea turtles. They have been looking out for the turtles for 35 years. It was interesting to find out that these green sea turtles live for a really long time. It takes the turtles 25 years just to mature. This article caught my eye because I love science and animals. Knowing that people are taking care of what used to be endangered animals really means a lot to me. We all know that if you stay silent and and see everything that is going on around you but not say a word, well then I think that you should because if you do not then you are going to be faced with some problems and it might be dangerous depending on what the situation might be. I belive that the dangers of being silent and going with the "norm" is that you might get bullied, the problem would get bigger and bigger and it woud never stop and you might get forced to do something you might not want to do.

There’s No Real Good Guy In the movie, “Blackfish” we are exposed to the fact that the way orcas are treated at SeaWorld is worse than we are lead to believe. We see how they are forced to swim in tiny pools and how they can only be fed if they preform well. After seeing this it makes you feel like the only way to help these poor creatures is to jump on the animal activist wagon and to free all the whales like in “Free Willy”. But is that really the right way to go?

The second half of this article centers all around the question of whether or not lobsters are treated with the dignity that they may or may not deserve. Humans everywhere associate bold feelings when faced with the word “pain,” and that is why this method is most effective in persuading a group of people to try to understand something that they have never, and will never, actually experience, (i.e., being boiled alive). He states that there are two main differences of pain; “... (1) pain as a purely neurological event, and (2) actual suffering.” Actual suffering has to do with the awareness of pain being an unpleasant feeling, and having a preference to not feel it, which involves having some sort of emotional component. In contrast, he brings in the fact that there is a very high chance that lobsters, in fact, do have preferences, as they can detect water change and choose to migrate a certain way. Food is a major part of everyone’s everyday life. It’s hard to imagine life without the chocolate cake on your fingers or a carne asada taco in your mouth. Enjoying delicious desserts and fast food seem extremely magnificent to eat and spend money buying them. Although, there have been many controversies in the United States on how it’s the largest country with the most obesity regarding children, which affects their health, many people are still going throughout their day snacking. Many people in America are having full course meals with thousands of calories in one sitting not knowing the short term or long term side effects that are going to take a huge toll on their lives. Food is delicious, but it comes with a secret behind the savoriness/sweetness.
