Neighborhoods are more than just tangible, physical environments that people live in. Rather, they mirror and embody the cultures, religious affiliations and political beliefs of the residents who occupy the community. A home is a place one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household, there are endless housing options available in my neighborhood. East Flatbush is a residential area, there are a wide variety of mainly apartment building, row houses, and a few housings projects, and a shelter for battered women and children. First let me talk about my seven floor apartment building which I love so much, I have a great relationship with the workers here than most of the actual neighbors. The workers are so nice they make sure the building is well kept and clean, they do a morning sweep around the building in cased of any waste/trash that anyone may have left on the sidewalks. They would play at school with friends and when they come home they play in school they play on their gadgets. They were never allowed to go to Lincoln Terrence Park, this park is humongous, it has a field, basketball court, netball court, handball court, a kiddies play space, and a walk trail. This park is not well-kept it is run down it trash constantly there, smells like a urinal, and on the benches by the walk trail, there are evidences of used condoms. Things like that cannot be safe for children to play freely or their parent being okay with them playing in an environment such as that. One early Saturday morning my friend and I was heading to work and decided to take another route and saw an older man in the park pooping.
