Gun Control There are several topics that can become hard to talk about as conversation becomes very tense and or emotional, but Gun Control is one of the tougher ones. People can get very defensive and it is easy to become biased to such. I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I do not mean to offend anyone in any way with what I have to say. It’s just very easy for me to talk about. I am captivated by this topic because I believe that some people’s opinions are based purely off statements they have heard and they are not actually educated on the matter. I by no means want to intrude on anyone’s viewpoints, I just simply would like people to understand and become educated on the problem. As you can probably see, I am against gun control. They have always been around and I truly think they always will be. I understand there does have to be some restriction, but they certainly cannot be taken away. We have the constitutional right to bear arms, and just as any other amendment, there is a purpose why. We were given that right so we can defend ourselves if our government becomes tyrannical. The original thirteen colonies were formed as an escape from religious and government persecution, and we would never again want to be in that position. If the United States wishes to remain free, we must have a way to protect our freedom against terrorism, war, and tyranny. However, some apply this right to their lives for another
