Bigfoot is one of the most well-known and controversial urban legends in the world (Pekinois). There are many different arguments to prove that Bigfoot does and does not exist. There are some unexplained phenomenons that may give hope to the possibility that Bigfoot is real but most evidence of Bigfoot can be proven to be something else and just because there is no explanation now that does not mean there never will be one. Bigfoot is also called Sasquatch and Yeti; there is some controversy on if these are all the same or if they are different. Some people believe that these are the different names for the creature in different parts of the world. Those who do not believe they are all the same believe that in the Himalayas, it is the Yeti, in …show more content…
It is said that Bigfoot has been seen in every continent but Antarctica. The most recent recorded Bigfoot sighting was on September 9, 2015 in Bedford Virginia (BFRO). This wide range of time shows just how popular this particular urban legend is. Bigfoot has been found to have some interesting “facts” about him. It is said Bigfoot can run up to 30 mph, cannot sneeze and does not like bananas. Many of these facts come from things people have discovered from captured Bigfoots There have been 69 recorded sightings (Bigfoot finder). In Africa there has been one, in Asia two, in Canada seven, in Europe two, in the United States fifty-five, and two with unspecified locations. In conclusion, Bigfoot is known and has been “seen” all over the world. The controversy on his existence may never be solved. There is so much evidence to prove both his existence and the ladder. The choice is to decide which to believe until one can be proven fully true. Bigfoot is an extremely controversial urban legend that may not be a legend at all, nobody knows for sure, although they might think they
Good literary text can communicate messages more powerfully than good informative text. 2 different texts, Moon Bear Rescue by Kim Dale, and the brochure Southern Asian Moon Bears, are chosen to represent in the argument between literary and informative. Both books are similarly capable of delivering a message, but which is more powerful? Informative clearly states the facts and provide consecutive information; raises awareness for the objective, i.e. Moon Bears, whereas the literary tends to tell more of a story, perhaps information, adapted to entertain the reader, and sometimes, to educate. Because of this, I feel that the literary is much more capable of providing a powerful message, mostly informative text lacks the friendly and heart-warming story that the literary text provides.
But wouldn't anybody be? There are several other weird things that just might be linked to the Loveland Frogman. Such as in the year 2000, there was a woman kidnapped , she went missing out of nowhere. She lived in Loveland, near Loveland Maderia Road, where the sightings were. She was last seen on Elm Road, which is just 8 minutes away. Could the loveland Frog have captured her? Is it really a possibility? And then on September 19,2016 officer Colin Metzner got a call and went to Kemper Ave. in Loveland Ohio. It was a call about a violent, noisy, vagrant. Officer Metzner didn't make it home that night, for he did not survive. He got footage from the cam on his police truck, and his vest camera, so he could investigate. He was brutally attacked by a creature that looked like a frog like human hybrid, and was killed. In the video there is tons of screaming from the officer, where he is yelling for help, and yelling in agony and pain. His body was later found with green handprints, bruises, slime, and many cuts like the water attack with Mrs. Johnson. It seems that they have something for police officers, saying that three police officers have witnessed the creature. There have been quite a few other sightings some with different details, such as the Loveland frog is more human sized rather than dwarf size. And some even said that it was a frog that was the size of a frog, yet walked onto feet, and had a man head and human man hands and feet that had wands, and there were a few who noted that they couldn't see the human features, they were just gigantic frogs that looked very terrifying. There have been tracks found before by the FBI and police, and paranormal hunters . And not only that, the DNA has been tested. It is not completely frog. There was about 56% frog-toad thing, but 44% unknown party. That unknown party could be human, or alien, or anything else
Do you ever wonder what are the differences are between the two tribes?Well I know the two tribes that both use Tipis for housing, these two are Blackfoot and Inuit. They also live in different places with very different climates, and they also have different vegetations.
Before contact with Europeans, the Kickapoo lived in northwest Ohio and southern Michigan in the area between Lake Erie and Lake Michigan. Beginning in the 1640s, the Algonquin tribes in this region came under attack from the east, first by the Ottawa and Iroquian-speaking Neutrals, and then the Iroquois. By 1658 the Kickapoo had been forced west into southwest Wiscon...
The experience happens in the middle of the night in Orick, California when the encounter of Bigfoot took place, in the house of two men and their children. The house was surrounded by the forest, woods, and there were not many people around.
Many Native American tribes described the Bigfoot as cannibals, mountain devils, kidnappers, rapists, and thieves. Most Native American tribes stayed out of the Bigfoot’s territory, avoiding contact if possible. Some tribes have interaction with the Bigfoot. One example of this was in California, where the Hoopa Indians actually camped with the Bigfoot. Unfortunately, the young Bigfoot males would occasionally rape a Hoopa woman, causing elders from both tribes to agree that a split was necessary.
An orca, more commonly known as a killer whale, is currently one of the largest marine animals held in captivity. Countless arguments are being made, supporting and opposing captivity of orcas to be exploited as circus animals in theme parks around the world. Throughout recent history, Sea World trainers have been injured and killed by the orcas and the whales, and the whales themselves have been observed as severely depressed. If Sea World releases the whales, they would undergo an immense economic downfall and the whales would be too weak to survive in the wild if they were freed. Since the first Sea World park opened in San Diego, California in 1964, common questions have arose concerning the well-being of orcas in captivity, the dangers of humans training them, the physical capability of whales theoretically being released, and the psychological differences between whales living in the wild versus whales living in Sea World's confinement.
On October 20, 1967, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin, two Bigfoot researchers, were horseback riding in the dried river bed of Bluff Creek in Northern California.... ... middle of paper ... ... All of these facts are bittersweet though, since sample specimens have nothing to be compared to since no actual creature specimen has been collected.
The grizzly bear trophy hunt is an issue regarding the citizens of Canada who immorally hunt and kill grizzly bears for pride, thrill, and trophy. Many people question whether this is morally acceptable as hunters kill without a conscience. Grizzly bears are vital to Canada’s environment as they are essential to maintaining a healthy ecosystem. As keystone species, they regulate prey, disperse seeds of plants, and aerate soil to maintaining forest health. Due to the vulnerability and over-hunting of grizzly bears, Pacific Wild and many other non-profit organizations, are working to protect wildlife in British Columbia, especially the grizzly bear habitat.
It is also told that stories and sightings of Bigfoot began in the Pacific Northwest, but very few are aware that sightings of this animal are not limited to this area but occur throughout areas such as the United States and Canada (Newton, “Bigfoot). It is very hard to find “hard” evidence, but to date, the only physical evidence we have of Bigfoot's existence consists of casts of large footprints, some photographs that some researchers perceive as “photoshopped” or fake, and some hair, blood, etc. True evidence is often hard to find because the prints could easily be faked by pranksters, but some footprints have been spotted and used as factual evidence. There are standing rewards that could be close to $100,000 for Bigfoot prints. I am positive that many people have seen the pictures of a furry, tall ape-like creature but refuse to believe that it is Bigfoot because there are so many fake pictures of him.
All around the world monsters are spotted contently everyday. Many of the monsters live in extraordinary circumstances. These monsters range from the chupacabra to the ancient megalodon. One of these monsters being bigfoot. Bigfoot is a very well know monster that has been in myths and stories for hundreds of years and sightings have started almost 200 years ago. One of the things many people wanted to know is how closely related bigfoot is to humans and how closely it is to apes.
For more than 400 years people have reported seeing large, hair-covered, man-like animals in the wilderness.Misidentification, hoax, or the real thing these sightings still continue today. In 2007 the Bigfoot Field Researches Organization or the BFRO put some photos out were they thought was a juvenile Bigfoot, others thought the photos were a bear with mange, and other people thought the creature was a chimpanzee. Many misidentifications happen and many hoax also happen to. Hoaxes happen many times, in July 2008 these two guys posted a video on youtube claiming they had discovered a dead Bigfoot in a forest. An investigator was called to investigate the body and the two guys received $50,000 as a reward. Soon after a meeting the dead Bigfoot body was delivered in a block of ice. When the body was thawed out they found out that the whole Bigfoot was fake. The two admitted that it was a hoax. Now if you try pulling one of the hoax remember that it could be dangerous. In August 2012 a man in Montana was pretending to be a Bigfoot using a suit and got hit by a

One of the most well-known urban legends told is the story of Bigfoot. Much of the research has shown that there are several names assigned to the mammoth ape. According to Napier (1973), Bigfoot would be the creature found mostly in Northwest America, Sasquatch would be a creature named in British Colombia, the 49th parallel in the north-west states of America and Northern California, and the Abominable Snowman, or the Yeti would be the creature named in the Himalayas. Of course, “Wild Man” and “Savage” have also been names used to identify the creature. There’s been thousands of sightings across the world, but there have also been many misidentifications where those who think they have seen Bigfoot have really just seen an ordinary animal or person. Arment (2006) states an individual’s perception may color the eyewitness account. Such misidentifications include: hermits, fugitives, refugees, bears, gorillas, and simply people making up stories or rumors. In addition to sightings, there have been photos, videos, movies, and TV shows that strongly indicates the possibility of the existence of this creature. Though there is much evidence from sightings, myths, and recordings that Bigfoot exists, there is also much proof that it could all be a hoax. Incorrect sightings have led skeptics to argue over the existence of this being stating Bigfoot is really just a fable. So one has to ask oneself, does Bigfoot really exist or is it just another urban legend?
