Are Electronics Taking Over Childhood? Everyone loved watching television as a child, individuals had their favorite shows, movies, and of course at the time they knew when they came on, though a great amount of them were watching too much. Many say that electronics are consuming the minds of children in this day and age, but will this be affecting kids later on in their life, and is the use of technology taking away their childhood? Paul allen grew up with Bill Gates, they both were engrossed in electronics. As they grew older they fell out of the nerd stage and jumped on the bandwagon of the “American Dream” that consisted of the journey to becoming billionaires. Allen was more advanced than others growing up, completely over average. Electronics is what changed Paul Allen’s life for the better, he focused on computers in a particular computer software. I do agree that technology is taking over a side of childhood that can only be taught by going outside and being a kid which includes activities like going to the park and interacting with others, going outside and adventuring, learning what is right and wrong through experiences that you cannot go through online or just simply by watching. My opinion is that electronics may be consuming the minds of children on a good route to a long-term educational level. Many children are learning early on what some of us were taught in later toddler stages.
