I always knew that I was interested in learning about technology ever since I saw the inside of a desktop in seventh grade. It was fascinating to learn how different components of a computer come together: if one part of a computer fails or has higher or lower specs than the rest of its components, the entire system fails. It’s like yin and yang.

During the summer of junior year I interned at Accenture. I worked in the IT department, diagnosing and resolving PC hardware and software issues and imaging an endless amount of computers for new hires. I enjoyed the freedom I had to explore new aspects and specs for computers: I was both a co-worker and a student, rather than just someone who shadowed other workers. In Engineering Design, I designed a functioning robot to compete in an obstacle course. I enjoyed assembling the robot, working in the shop, and seeing the final result of the robot.
