Do you think animal testing is needed? Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. If they don’t find anything on the animal then the animal was killed for nothing. Animals shouldn’t be used for testing because animal testing is cruel and inhumane, animal can suffer like humans do, so it is speciesism to experiment on them while we refrain from experimenting on humans, and animals are very different from humans which makes them poor test subjects.

First off, Animal testing is cruel and inhumane. The Humane Society International states that,”Animals used in experiments are commonly subjected to force feeding, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, the infliction of burns and other wounds.”The commonly used LD50 (lethal dose 50) test involves finding out which dose of a chemical will kill 50% of the animals being used in the experiment.”This means that they take the animals alive and basically torture them.
