In AVID 2 we were given an assignment to write an essay about our future career choice. The career I'm leaning towards at this particular time of my life is being an anesthesiologist. Throughout my essay, I will be providing you information about my career choice. I will be giving you insight on the highest level education you have to complete, their pay, what they actually do, and more. According to research anesthesiologist focuses on the care of surgical patients and pain relief. During surgeries anesthesiologist, will monitor the patient's blood pressure, heart rhythm, temperature, level of consciousness, and amount of oxygen in the blood. In the year of 2016, there were approximately 33,000 jobs in my career. By the year of 2026 employment for anesthesiologist is expected to grow 18 percent. By that time I should be almost ready to start my career; hopefully there will be room for me. One of the best qualities of being an anesthesiologist is the pay. The average base pay of an anesthesiologist is $432,303, maybe more. They start out with about 250,000 , getting paid about $117an hour, as of October 30,2017. This type of pay can vary widely depending on a variety of factors. I would like to be anesthesiologist because all my life I’ve always wanted to work in the medical field and I’ve found a job that may be able to fit me. An event occurred in my life where I wish it was a type of situation where I could bring someone back. Being an anesthesiologist, I'll be able to put someone to sleep and most definitely make sure they wake up right out the surgical procedure.
