In the documentary “Fed Up,” sugar is responsible for Americas rising obesity rate, which is happening even with the great stress that is set on exercise and portion control for those who are overweight. Fed Up is a film directed by Stephanie Soechtig, with Executive Producers Katie Couric and Laurie David. The filmmaker’s intent is mainly to inform people of the dangers of too much sugar, but it also talks about the fat’s in our diets and the food corporation shadiness. The filmmaker wants to educate the country on the effects of a poor diet and to open eyes to the obesity catastrophe in the United States. The main debate used is that sugar is the direct matter of obesity. Overall, I don’t believe the filmmaker’s debate was successful.
“Shooter” is an action movie that was produced in 2007. It starts off by visually describing the military career of the protagonist, Bob Lee Swagger. His spotter and best friend gets killed by enemy fire, but Swagger survives. After this scene, the movie describes the life that he now lives in the United States. He decides to live in the woods with his dog after he retired from the military. Everything goes as Swagger wants it to until a supposed branch of the government shows up at his door and needs his expertise to aid them in preventing the assassination of the United States president (Rotten Tomatoes). From this point the movie takes a turn that Swagger cannot come back from.

The storyline begins when a 10 year old girl is violently rape and viciously brutalized by two white “rednecks” men; they dump her in a nearby river after failed attempts to hang her. She survives and the men are arrested, however her father main character (Carl) is worried that the men may be acquitted due to a similar case further south in which four white teenagers were acquitted of a rape of a black girl. The movie, Racing Extinction, was a great insight on how humanity is about to cause the 6th mass extinction. One way that humans are causing the sixth mass extinction is carbon emissions. Our factories, methods of transportation, and dietary needs are putting an awful lot of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The carbon we release then enters the oceans and this is making the oceans more acidic, which is killing aquatic life. Another way humans are causing the 6th mass extinction is over hunting. This was prevalent in Indonesia and China, where people were bringing mantas and a particular species of shark close to extinction trying to profit from the species’ valuable body parts.
Kung Fury is an animated short film written, directed and starring Swedish multimedia entrepreneur and aspiring film maker David Sandberg. Kung Fury began when Mr. Sandberg decided he would give up his day job and put everything into his dream of directing a film. "So I just quit doing commercials and music videos, I said, I’m going to do my own project. I had this idea for an 80s cop-inspired film called Kung Fury. My plan was to shoot the entire thing and then do all the visual effects myself. I have a background in visual effects. But it turned out that it was way too much work and took too long and I was completely broke. I had to sell my couch and my TV to be able to afford rent and food. I was, like, at the tipping point.
