Main question: If we were to compare audio, reading or visual advertisements which one would be most persuasive? Hypothesis: If we were to find and test the dominant advertising method on a particular school (Kingfisher private school), could it be said that any advertisement made using this method would be successful (in achieving the interest of the customer)? The way the AIDA principle can be put to effect is if we try to understand how it works in advertising: • Attention/Awareness- the Company has the task of making customers aware of the existence of its products or services. • Interest- the Company has to make sure the customers are intrigued with what the product or service can do for them. • Desire- the Company has to influence the customers to want to try the products or services. • Action- When the customers are fully invested and they acquire more information or purchase the product/service. The following media criteria are what I will be using throughout the investigation. Visual advertisement Visual advertisements are basically visual presentations of advertisements that we see. The whole point of the visual advertisement is to capture the attention of people. We get many forms of visual advertisements such as video advertisement, posters, and sign spinning. We get many forms of textual advertisements such as newsletters, posters, sign spinning, social media, and video related advertisements (such as TV). From this form of advertisement I chose: The Kingfisher newsletter- Posters- Social media- Video related advertisements- Please note that the following Kingfisher stamps, ,do not mean that the following pictures belong to the school or are owned by the school they are just a way of showing how the pictures carry out a message. Methodology I plan on using the questionnaire I have designed. (See addendum 1) The questionnaire will be given to pupils of Kingfisher school. The questionnaire will cover what advertisements the learners of Kingfisher will prefer to see. Once this data has been collected. I can choose at least three of the favoured advertisements to promote one of the many school functions.
