Hitler was born April 20, 1889 in the Austrian town Braunau am Inn. He was the fourth of six children, all belonging to Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. Hitler was baptized as a Roman Catholic. After being enrolled in school, young Adolf excelled in school, promising a bright future. When it came time to decide what secondary school he was going to go into, Hitler dreamed of becoming an artist, however Hitler’s father wanted him to follow in his footsteps as a civil servant. While in technical high school in Linz, Austria, Hitler struggled, being held back his first two years. All while failing his schoolwork, Adolf did learn one thing- his newfound admiration of German Nationalism.
At the age of 13, Hitler’s father passed away, leaving him in charge of the family. He remained in school, but still struggled. Now that his father was not there to force life as a civil servant, Hitler became interested in art once again. He left technical school to become an artist. However, Hitler’s mother was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. Hitler was conflicted with his choices, whether to chase his dreams to become and artist or stay and take care of his mother. Hitler decided to withdraw his life savings to move to Vienna, where each October an entrance exam was held for acceptance into art school. Unfortunately, he failed the exam and his mother lost her battle with cancer. Now Hitler was parentless and homeless, sleeping on benches in Vienna.
Struggling to find work and stay alive, Hitler perished. He was at dead end in his life, when news of a possible World War was around the corner. After the war began, Hitler found a new home in the trenches on the battlefields fighting for Germany. Hitler enlisted in a Bavarian Regiment, a regimen...

...e committee made up of seven members, which included Hitler. To gain members, Hitler sent out invitations and spread the word about the party’s monthly meetings. However little to no one came to these gatherings. Hitler did not give up hope, however. The party put an ad in the newspaper about their next meeting, which would be held in a beer cellar that could hold around one hundred people. To their disbelief, the meeting drew in a crowd of over one hundred. Hitler was set to speak second at the gathering. When he came up to talk, everyone was in awe of how good he was with his words. “The people in the small room were electrified and the enthusiasm was first expressed by the fact that my appeal to the self-sacrifice of those present led to the donation of three hundred marks." This money was later used to help further spread the word of the German Worker’s Party.
