Mark Kennedy’s quote states that man's biggest technological inventions portray laziness rather than intelligence. He believes inventions such as the car, the airplane, and the computer were invented because we are lazy and need machines to do the work for us. I disagree with Kennedy's quotation because I believe you have to be intelligent to think of and create these inventions. These inventions also portray intelligence because they have improved our way of life. Thinking and creating these inventions does not show laziness because you put time and effort to create these inventions. To invent something you must be intelligent and creative. If you were living in the era where airplanes weren’t invented you would say that it was impossible to create a machine that flies but the Wright Brothers made it possible. The Wright Brothers were considered the inventors of the airplane because they were intelligent enough to build the first successful airplane. The Wright Brothers were intelligent because they considered factors such as the wind, atmosphere, and altitude. They did not portray laziness because they persevered through trial and error.
