America has given my generation many gifts. Something most families don't think about is how much the military impacts us as a society. The military fights for our freedoms, sacrifices time with their families, and keep us safe from terrorists.
First, the military fights for and protects our basic freedoms. The military is far more important than most people think. Without these brave men and women, we would be lost and we would not be able to walk outside without fear. Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.
