Every one deserves their own rights, black or white, man or woman. The American Revolution was a product of the Protestant reformation and the Enlightenment because the early American Colonists wanted to have their own power, authority, and independence. The Enlightenment was a period of change of thoughts for the western European world through science, literature, philosophy, society, politics, and economics. The American Revolution was much like this due to the early American colonists wanting there own independence and freedom. During the Protestant Reformation of Europe a new church founded by Luther emerged among different religions during this time period. The American Revolution is much like the Protestant Reformation because colonists from England came to early American for religious freedom having the wide range of diversity of religion within America today. The American Revolution is similar to the Enlightenment and the Protestant Reformation because all three of these historical events were a time of change. The enlightenment changed Western Europe forever.

With the Protestant Reformation occurring and King Henry the VIII creating the Church of England, the colonists wanted to decide their own religion. We can see today that America is a cultural diversity. Tradition still carries on from that time as it was back in colonial times of the revolution such as in New England the majority were Puritans, the Middle Colonists were a mixture of religion such as Quakers, Catholics, Lutherans, Jewish and many others where as the South, much like today, was filled with Baptists and Anglicans.
