To begin with, All Quiet on the Western Front is about Germany going war with the France and the struggle of a soldier. Paul is the narrator of this movie and he is a good drawer. In the beginning he is drawing a bird while they teacher is talking. He isn't paying attention to the teacher and doing what he loves to do. In Germany boys are taught at school to fight for their country and enlist them. The class of 1916 boys were influenced by teacher and propaganda and enlisted them in German army, to fight in the World War 1 for their country. Its shows the life of soldier struggle to fight with death and protecting their country. This movie also show the impact of war. It may be easier to start a war but to server the consequences is very hard. This movie is very heartbreaking but it show courage, sacrifice and brave. The significant part about this is sacrifice and courage the soldiers shows. Even they know that the will die any time or may not see tomorrow, they fight the enemy with all their might. But when Paul stabbed this one guy and later he tells him that he didn't mean to kill him but have to. We may use trench warfare in more of the war today but with better environment and technology. In some countries many many young people are being soldiers. Mostly in Middle East many young people are recruiting in army. ISIS are influencing the young ones to join with them. And in other countries young children go to war because they are helpless, forced and for survival. Yes, a war can change a person. Paul was very different at the beginning and usually drawn and day dream. After seeing the bloodshed in the war and horror cries of people, he changed. When he came home he wasn't happy or excited. He was just calm and way different. He began to take his own decision wise and knew what to do. He was more responsible and brave. They were learn to accept their death each time they went into battle filed. I think little man are important in modern day because they are at the front and know whether the foes are coming in what direction to fight and what weapons they are using.
