I think the continued advancement of Artificial Intelligence will have a positive effect on humanity. Artificial Intelligence will become instrumental in aiding people with complex problems and recording our knowledge we have gathered for thousands of years. I do not think Artificial Intelligence will completely replace humans, but I think it will change the way we live and use our industries. AI technology will never be able to emulate the human consciousness and intuitive nature we possess; however, AI technology will change the way we establish ourselves in society, propelling us to a higher level of understanding in the future.

Machine intelligence is based on algorithms or complex mathematics equations that act as the driving force for reasoning and thought for machines. These robots use algorithms to make its own decisions by not outlining any parameters in how to complete a task like a normal machine, but using its own reasoning to determine its own solution. In his test, a computer is required to carry on a compelling conversation with humans, fooling them into believing they are speaking with another human. All of his predictions require a computer to think and reason in the same manner as a human. Despite 50 years of effort, only the chess championship has come true. By refocusing artificial intelligence research to a more humanlike, cognitive model, the field will create machines that are truly intelligent, capable of meet Turing's goals. Currently, the only "intelligent" programs and computers are not really intelligent at all, but rather they are clever applications of different algorithms lacking expandability and versatility. The human intellect has only been used in limited ways in the artificial intelligence field, however it is the ideal model upon which to base research.
