The Holocaust was the systematic persecution and mass murder of six million Jews by the Nazi regime and its leader. The Holocaust took place from January 30, 1933, when Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany, to May 8, 1945. Adolf Hitler had many goals and intentions in creating the Holocaust during the time of World War II . Many of Hitler’s ideas began when writing his book, Mein Kampf, in prison, about his hatred for the Jewish race and how he wanted them entirely distinguished. Hitler believed that the Jewish race was the root of the problem for Germany and wanted to eliminate Germany’s problems by persecuting and eventually murdering Jews completely.

The work that they were forced to do was not normal jobs. They were forced to do harsh jobs that had to be done in the harsh weather at some point. Along with working long, hard hours, they Jews were not treated like human beings, rather they were treated like slaves. The concentration camps then became into a much more frightening nightmare; death camps. Murder operations began on December 8, 1941 and did not end until January 1945. The Jewish German were forced to undress, give up their belongings, and load into a van whose exhaust pipes were connected to the interior of the car. Then, the vans would begin driving to a burial site. By the time the vans arrived, no one survived. They also exterminated Jews by forcing them to strip their clothes, belongings, and families.
