The book’s title is “A wrinkle in time,” it is a science fantasy novel written by Madeleine L'Engle and published in 1963. The story is about a young girl called Meg Murry, who went searching her father through time and space with the help of her younger brother, her friend and three mysterious old ladies. It has different settings such as: New England, the planet Uriel, the planet Camazotz, the planet Ixchel and they travel by a tesseract. I would like to travel by a tesseract because it should be interesting to travel through space and time within seconds.
The story begins describing Meg: a not so smart girl who had constantly been in trouble specially for defending her family members and the fact that her father who has been missing for over a year; during the story she changes to better, in fact she is my favorite character because despite of her fears she didn’t give up. The book also describes: her mother who was a beautiful and intelligent woman; her little brother Charles Wallace, an intelligent boy who was capable of reading minds; Calvin O Calvin O'Keefe who was a talented athlete in Meg's school and showed interest in Meg.

The book begins as a mystery novel with a goal of finding the killer of the neighbor's dog, Wellington. The mystery of the dog is solved mid-way through the book, and the story shifts towards the Boone family. We learn through a series of events that Christopher has been lied to the past two years of his life. Christopher's father told him that his mother had died in the hospital. In reality she moved to London to start a new life because she was unable to handle her demanding child. With this discovery, Christopher's world of absolutes is turned upside-down and his faith in his father is destroyed. Christopher, a child that has never traveled alone going any further than his school, leaves his home in order to travel across the country to find his mother who is living in London.

The main character in this story is Cassie Logan. She and her three brothers go through an extremely tough time in this story. They go through everything from racist driven petty things to the death of a friend. Cassie's age contributes a lot to this story. Since Cassie is about 10 years old she doesn't fully understand everything that happens and why they happen. This book is written in first person so the reader knows her thoughts and feelings, but not everyone else's. This provides a better grasp on Cassie's inner conflicts.
Meg Murray, the protagonist and the person from whom the reader gets their point of view, is the main character. She has a little brother, Charles Wallace, and two twin brothers, Sandy and Denny. Her mother is a guiding figure within the story, and serves as her daughter Meg's source of ambition. We learn from reading the story that Meg's father disappears from an extremely secret scientific project, and is expected to return, but hasn't for several years. Meg can see the pain that her mother feels and the rest of the family also about the loss of their father, and wants to help find him. All the while, feelings are mutual that their father is living, but nobody knows for sure.
Her parents meet at a social gathering in town and where married shortly thereafter. Marie’s name was chosen by her grandmother and mother, “because they loved to read the list was quite long with much debate over each name.” If she was a boy her name would have been Francis, so she is very happy to have born a girl. Marie’s great uncle was a physician and delivered her in the local hospital. Her mother, was a housewife, as was the norm in those days and her father ran his own business. Her mother was very close with her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. When her grandmother was diagnosed with asthma the family had to move. In those days a warm and dry climate was recommended, Arizona was the chosen state. Because her grandma could never quite leave home, KY, the family made many trips between the states. These trips back and forth dominated Marie’s childhood with her uncles and aunts being her childhood playmates.
The approach to the hero’s journey in The Hunger Games, Star Wars, and A Wrinkle in Time has many similarities and variables. A few stages of comparison with the three books are during the call to adventure/refusal, the ordinary world, and crossing the threshold.
When Zora Hurston wrote this novel, she wanted to explain how a young women search for her own identity. This young woman would go through three relationships that took her to the end of the journey of a secure sense of independence. She wanted to find her own voice while in a relationship, but she also witnessed hate, pain, and love through the journey. When Logan Killicks came she witnessed the hate because he never connected physically or emotionally to her. Jody Starks, to what she assumed, as the ticket to freedom. What she did not know was the relationship came with control and pain. When she finally meets Tea Cake she was in love, but had to choose life over love in the end.
The three Mrs. W's transport the children to Camazotz and instruct them to remain always in each other's company while on their quest for Mr. Murry. On Camazotz, all objects and places appear exactly alike because the whole planet must conform to the terrifying rhythmic pulsation of IT, a giant disembodied brain. Charles Wallace tries to fight IT with his exceptional intelligence but is overpowered by the evil and becomes a robot-like creature mouthing the words with which IT infuses him.
The plot of the movie starts out in the woods as Keller Dover and his son Ralph Dover are deer hunting on Thanksgiving. Keller is teaching Ralph how to hunt incase of a disaster in which he would need to use survival skills. The movie then takes you to the Dover household in a suburban neighborhood. It was very cold and rainy. The Dover’s were getting ready to go to a the Birch household for Thanksgiving dinner that evening. Sabrina, Daphne and Puck were sitting on the floor of the living room in Granny’s house, where Sabrina and Daphne’s parents had left them for a short trip involving their mother’s sister in Australia. Granny and Mr. Clay had left them alone in the house for a while to get grocery’s (and a lot of water bottles).They were reading the old journals, trying to find any new information about Everafters and writing every new find in their own journals, sweating rivers of liquid, as the day was amazingly hot, breaking the 4 year heat record in Ferryport Landing. No one really wanted to do much except lie down on the couch with a lot of paper fans and water. Sabrina had been leafing through Jacob Grimm II’s journal, sighing as she put the book down for the eleventh time, as Puck had gulped down all of the water in one gulp and was rudely demanding more.
A wrinkle in time is a novel by Madeleine L’Engle. It is a very fun and thrilling novel set in the entire universe. The story happens in only one autumn day. This is because of time manipulation. You know this because in the novel the main character gets worried that her mom and her brothers will try to find them,
Twice towards the beginning of the book Meg displays her deep worry about her appearance and her family’s appearance because she does not want to feel embarrassed. Meg displays her obsession with looks when she says, “‘You must sit still all you can and keep your back out of sight. The front is all right. I shall have a new ribbon for my hair, and Marmee will lend me her little pearl pin, and my new slippers are lovely, and my gloves will do, though they aren't as nice as I'd like’” (Chapter 3, Alcott). Also, she portrays her fear and hatred of embarrassment in the statement, “‘You must have gloves, or I won't go,’ cried Meg decidedly. ‘Gloves are more important than anything else. You can't dance without them, and if you don't I should be so mortified.’” (Chapter 3, Alcott). As the first part of the story wrap up, Meg begins to respect the more important things in life. A major turning point in her attitude and when I believe she changed from vain, menial girl into a strong and happy woman occurred when Aunt March threatened her if she married a poor man like Mr. Brooke and she responds by saying, “‘I shall marry whom I please, Aunt March, and you can leave your money to anyone you like,’” (Chapter 23, Alcott). By retaliating against Aunt March and saying she would rather happiness than money, she illustrates the transformation that took place over the first part of the book.
Furthermore, Meg is my character of choise because she is hated in her town because of her father left but she still holds the ground and says her father is still going to come back. She is not one of the liked people in her town infact even the princaple Mr. Jenkins still brings up the fact that
