Unluckly, Pakistan is one of those countries in which cancer is increasing rapidly. Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is making great efforts to increase its capacity for those really in need and likewise we are enhancing our services, and this all wouldn’t have been possible without your support and making my dream come true not only once but twice. In Lahore, the operation theatres have undergone expansion to meet the ever-increasing demands of the Hospital. It’s a proud moment to announce we have begun two specialized healthcare units. These are the Surgical Extended Care Unit (SECU) and the Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy Bay (OPAT Bay) – both of these units will help provide our patients with quality medical services …show more content…

Furthermore chemotherapy services has started working which is an aid to our patients ,who had to travel all the way to Lahore every few weeks for this treatment which is both financially and emotionally burdening to our patients. Due to our full scope of Pathology and Radiology services has also started in Peshawar. The Radiology department includes X-Ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, mammography, CT and MRI services, and our PET-CT scanner, the first in Pakistan north of Lahore,will also become functional this summer. And all this wouldn’t have been possible without your unconditional love and support, which we are still in need of.We need your support to begin our Radiation Oncology services, arranged for 2018, and surgical services in 2020 as part of phase two and phase three of the Hospital. I feel glad to announce that the SKMCH&RC, Peshawar is constructed according to the latest international healthcare standards and is an even extensive hospital than SKMCH&RC,
