Goodbye Mrs. Trotter
Dear Mrs. Trotter, I was not happy going to school because of all the bullies and work, but you made it less painful to make me work. I thought I was never going to make any friends but you believed in me that I could. So all I want to say is thanks for all you did, you made my life a bit easier to live in knowing that I can go to someone that I can go to when I feel bad or just want to talk, but not on Saturdays or Sundays. I feel safe in in this school now that I know you can help me. And sure there are times when we have our ups and way downs but in the end, it’s good. Now I feel that I can go to 7th grade work without that feeling I get when feel I can’t do anything.

Since thanksgiving is coming up, I’ve been reflecting on the things I’m thankful for that I don't thank often enough. One of those things is you. I'm very glad I had you in Spanish for both sixth and seventh grade because you really brought out my love of Spanish. I never thought I had it in me to learn another language but with your help I got an amazing start with Spanish. You always encouraged us students to learn Spanish so that we could actually know it, not just to get our worksheets done. Your Spanish classes have motivated me to continue learning Spanish even after high school.
I snatch a few moments this morning to write, and first of all will express my gratitude for your interesting & thrice welcome letter. I am very glad that you have made our Fairfield friends such a good visit. O! that I could have been with you, but I suppose you thought of your absent Sister. Sometimes, as I allow my thoughts to wander homeward, I sigh to be with loved ones again. I loved when you let me clean your salamander tank, although sometimes I got a little ahead of myself and started to splash people with the water in the tank. One reason why I think you became so close to me in a way was because your open minded about anything I would say. I am proud and grateful to call you one of my closest friends. In English we were instructed to write an essay on someone that has had an impact on our life. Trevor wrote about Greg, others wrote about their parents and I wrote about you. I would give this to you, but it is horrible writing. I did call you laudable though, so I think that makes up for it. So for the first of many thank you’s in this letter, thank you for never giving up on me, especially when everyone else had.
I wanted to thank Ms. Geary for reminding me how much writing can do for me. It helped me realize that writing isn’t so horrible but it is just hard work. My writing skills have improved due to this class and all Ms. Geary had taught me. She made class fun with her inflections and just the way she says everything, her personality definitely showed through. I looked forward to class but never the homework. Finally after reading over my final drafts of: My Past as a Writer, Problematic Essay and my Exploratory Research Paper I realize that I have dramatically improved my writing skills in every draft thanks to revisions and some positive criticism for Ms. Geary. I think I am now ready to take on the next step in the English world.
I am writing to thank you for speaking to the sophomore class of Richard Montgomery High School on November 7th, about your experience during the Holocaust. I found your story to be very personal and educational. I would also like to thank you for taking your time to speak with us.

Bonnie the secretary introduced me to my new teacher. As Mrs. Bonnie was leaving the room, my new teacher Mrs. Evaheart introduced me to the class. As I stared at the class I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed. I wanted to go back to my old school where I had friends, knew almost everyone, a place where I didn’t feel lonesome, a place anywhere but here. Valedictorian Speech Good evening fellow graduates, teachers, family members, friends, and distinguished guests. It is a tremendous honor to be the valedictorian of our graduating class. My job is to somehow be the voice of the entire graduating class, and take five minutes to say a few words on behalf of all 539 of us. Like most valedictorians, writing this speech was not an easy task for me. Not because I did not have anything to say, but because I was overwhelmed by how much I wanted to share with you all on this day. Tonight, we have one common purpose, to celebrate. We are here to congratulate, to look towards what the future holds for us, to wish each other well, and to, most importantly look back on our time spent here. Everything was great and I spend a great eight years. I was a good student in all of my natural science classes, especially in Biology and Math classes. I was in contact with many of my school friends and teachers in every of our school activities. I still remember playing soccer for our school team when I was thirteen-years-old.
